This is one of the best creations I came across a few years ago... I am a fan of progressive rock, and this band put things together and brings out something marvelous... no matter what time of the day, it takes me into a trance, and I usually listen to this band while traveling or working out and even at night before sleeping. It's said that the music has the power to heal. And these songs give me goosebumps. I feel energetic and rejuvenated.. some more creations of them like The Final Thing on My Mind and No Man's Land are the best ones..
From a musical point of view , I think Pineapple Thief is incomparable. They compose such complicated , yet soothing music. From a lyrical point of view though, I think the best progressive band is the other PT. Steven Wilson's The raven that refused to sing is a lyrical masterpiece.
This song is an absolute maniac but Dream Theater and Pink Floyd to me make the epitomes of prog rock music Octavarium and Echoes by far are the pinnacles of prog rock music
The bucolic touch, tinged with melancholy of this lament causes an abysmal diving movement in my unconscious so that I end up feeling apathy before the problems of this world, not as an escape but as an exercise in self-knowledge 🕊
@@oriori7859 right? 😂 that’s great. You know what I think happened was I found this band at the same time that I found Porcupine Tree and I had listened to both for a while, but then I wound up just listening to Porcupine Tree more, and eventually I just forgot that there was a separate band with an equally terrible name, equally awesome music. Really, the two are similar and Porcupine Tree has since become my absolute favorite band… but these guys are really just as good.
Its odd to hear their new stuff compared to this. Just like The Flower Kings or Porcupine Tree, it was one guy that needed a touring group, then they became a band
