Cudnt agree more with u Diaciuri. Pink is very very sweet and kind and gentle but gets outwitted by other mean entities like the naughty horse in few occassions, the fly, flea, bird, mouse etc. But when it comes to the little man/big nose, who is also quite gentle he becomes the opposite and always outwits and troubles poor big nose and also his white pet dog who always gets into trouble with his own master big nose himself after being framed by the panther himself. There r other occassions where panther outwits others like the thief in dial p for pink, the robber in vitapink. And if u c the other series like pink panther n pals which is a prequel to this series featuring a child pink panther and also the 1993 series where pink talks it's usually pink who comes out on top and wins. There's another character who gets harassed just like pink if not more. One is Andy panda of Walter lantz and the poor sweet polar bear called backkom that was shown in Nickelodeon, daffy duck tho daffy is not as gentle as pink, Donald duck, the inspector of pink panther itself, the aardvark by the ant tho he tries to eat him, Tom by Jerry tho Tom also has eating intentions and barney the bear.
The clever characters who always win and r much more cunning and meaner than poor pink panther r woody woodpecker, chillie Willie, droopy although in the older series a mean dog called butch harassed droopy quite often, kwickie koala, crazy claws, Jerry who harasses Tom except few occassions, the ant who outwits the aardvark, Mickie mouse, bugs Bunny the cleverest of them all who outwits almost everyone
*@Saxiesax 2* Starting in 1980 I watched these as re-runs, after school every weekday. Preceded by _George of the Jungle_ & Original _Tom & Jerry_ ...Ahh, old network TV. While we still had _Dick Dastardly & Muttley, Laff Olympics, & Bugs Bunny, Foghorn Leghorn, Barnyard Dog,_ & the rest of the _Looney Tunes_ gang I remember how alot of parents objected to the violence. But my folks grew up watching the very same cartoons, so they had no problem with it. We certainly didn't turn out to be violent, & neither did they!
I'm pretty sure this segment is called pink lemonade because the saying goes when life gives you lemons you gotta make lemonade. Have you ever seen a better example of life giving someone lemons?
Can't read the writer's mind, but my guess is pink lemonade is symbolic of how sour P.P.'s life became, enduring what those kids did to him! Or: "When life gives you lemons, make lemonade." So, he had to make the best of the situation. Either way ;)
I have questions... 1. Why is the Pink Panther (who's a cat) running from the DOG catcher at the start? 2. Why is the animation so cheap? 3. Why is this episode called 'Pink Lemonade' when it has nothing to do with the plot? 4. Were there ever two such fugly children? 5. Why was that dog still willing to do Big Nose's bidding after being mistreated so terribly? Sorry guys, not your best work.
