Not only is the sauce she made bad, but she's also exposed herself to being a very insufferable person who literally bullied and gaslighted one of her customers on a talk show so that's also not helping her case at all.
That was just disgusting the way she gaslit her. There were plenty of black female customers complaining, but she pulled out the white one and feigned racism.
@jskywalker58 my theory is that the "marketing" expense she is talking about was appearing on that talk show twice lol. That would explain how the network could be so brain dead in trying to highlight her as a good guy. The only argument I would give her is that the customer could have possibly contaminated the contents when she dipped her hand in the sauce, but Chef Pi did not handle it in a professional manner.
@@stevenpike7857I didn't see her feigning racism ( unless I missed something lol), but rather saw her pulling the softest spoke critic since they would be easier to talk over leaving her to lead the narrative she wanted. The talk show host and crowd ( assuming they were just following prompts confused lol) didn't help.
She had the audacity calling herself broke and had barely enough money to feed her kid. Yet she had time and money to dye her hair, do her nails and attend dance classes? I smell scam and bullshit from her story.
I was staring at the all the nice modern luxuries she is surrounded by, wondering if it's the inability to maintain the unearned lifestyle instead of just getting a job and living within their means. Psychopathic people cannot be cured! Too bad there's no system to keep them out of public and breeding (asylums), in fact it is quite the fatherless opposite (Welfare).
The fact that her first reaction after going broke was going online and ask for money instead of just getting a job like a normal person made me lose all of the little amount of sympathy I had for this lady. I feel so bad for her kids, I hope she's just really exaggerating the situation because they don't deserve to not have clothes or food because of their mother awful behavior
Those children are doomed to become just like her - Felony Factories! There is no way to save them, but cutting off the Welfare supply will eventually keep them from breeding out of control. Starvation is a hell of a solid solution to single motherhood. Abortions are murder by the way, so you know I'd put that in it's proper legal place before eliminating wealth redistribution to the worst types of degenerates, the child abusers.
Something else to consider is that Dave's Gourmet reformulated the sauce to be more nutritionally safe and shelf-life friendly, which means that she may own Pink Sauce in name only -- which would, of course, affect the size of her royalties.
I believe Dave's here. Seriously, if she had a contract and they didnt pay her, (per her allegations) it would be an open and closed lawsuit case. She is lying, plain and simple.
Well, Dave's has nothing to lose in being honest. They are a highly successful company that has been around for decades. From a quick google search they revenue $12m~ a year. Her 120k or whatever is just a failed project for them. In fact, Dave's Ghost Pepper is a staple in my cabinets, shit's good. They have nothing to lose with this lady, just a small nuisance that'll go away in a few months.
Judging by the fact that she didn't know what the FDA meant, I think she misunderstood the terms of the contract entirely and thought she was so smart she didn't need a lawyer to explain it to her. I also think it's highly probably she mismanaged her money and thought she was such a likable person she could frame this as "poor me, a lone small business owner against a corporation!"
She wants justice, but the fact this ended up happening to such a narcissistic and delusional human being means there's at least a little justice left in this god-forsaken world.
Chef Pii added pink food coloring to ranch and made a tic toc. People got interested, it blew up and she decided to make some money out of it. She had to scramble to come up with a recipe to recreate the dyed ranch without people finding out it was dyed ranch. That's why the color could never be as bright as it was in her very first tic toc about it, its not the lighting. The company that took up her sauce tried to recreate it with natural ingredients and make it shelf stable, but it'll always be a hot mess because its ranch dyed pink.😂
The fact that she actually thought she'd be able to retire off of a tiktok pink sauce tells me all I need to know about her! If she indeed is having all these money troubles and can't even afford to feed her kids, someone should tell her "YOU'RE NOT SPECIAL! GO GET A JOB!
I think a lot of it has to do w. Her going on the Karamo show being a pos. The pink sauce lady and the host basically bullied and humiliated a woman for doing an honest review on the sauce. Chef Pii even held the ladies hand, looked her in her eyes while telling her she isn’t special.
She's like the 95% of people that have won the lottery and end up destitute a year later. Nobody's fault but their own (and all the slimebags that come out of the woodwork when that happens).
She never once acknowledged that her products went bad because she didn't ship them with correct packaging and could potentially cause botulism. She doesn't deserve any pity.
She honestly deserves jail time. She didn’t care about her customers and tried to take a shortcut… to the detriment of those who trusted her enough to buy her ridiculous product.
Don’t get me wrong, I am not supporting this girl because of the horrible way she handled everything, but the sauce itself was fine, and no, it can’t cause botulism. If you want an explanation I can give you one
I don’t feel bad for this lady at all like she deserves this. What was she expecting to not get any consequences for her actions? Like that’s not how the world works
On a humane level I do feel bad for her if this situation she is stating is true. Mainly because I feel bad for the kids. I will admit I probably would donate to her go fund me for her kids, but sadly she wrote that she is also planning to use the money for legal fees. Unless she has receipts to backup her claims ( which it seems Dave's gourmet has the receipts lol) then that legal battle is DOA. At that point it would be more fruitful to flush money down the drain. Also doesn't help she still hasn't taken accountability for her actions in not running her business properly. She instead is still trying to play the victim. Last note, what marketing? Lol. Did she pay to appear on the talk show a second time to advertise it was in walmart, because that is the only thing I can think of that would cost money, and explain why the network was trying to go with the narrative Chef Pi was the good guy lol. If so then why does she think she is owes reimbursement from Dave's Gourmet for that lol.
She immediately moved into a gigantic house and started spending hundreds on designer clothes, extensions, etc. Now, there is nothing wrong with upgrading your life or buying yourself a few nice things when you hit it big BUT this was a woman who was literally living paycheck to paycheck before Pink Sauce. Something tells me she is spending more than she is making and doesn't have the best money management skills.
The way retail works is that the store doesn't pay the supplier for each purchase, they buy the product in bulk and sell them at a mark up to recoup the losses, what seems to be the case is that because Walmart isn't selling any of the Pink sauce they don't want to buy more until they sell out of the current stock, and likely won't be taking a risk in buying more of a product that doesn't sell.
So, I worked at Walmart and saw the Pink Sauce one day and laughed. I thought some other company or entity had decided to label itself as “Pink Sauce.” I cannot believe that it’s from the woman and organization that had so many problems in the past. Walmart should be ashamed, but I know why they did it. Crazy.
To be fair an exec from Dave's probably saw it blowing up on TikTok and didn't follow up their research. Not knowing that Chef Pi ruined her reputation and thus by association her product they went through production. I said in another comment before, but I truly believed she could have had moderate success if she just didn't let her ego get in the way. I will never understand people like her. Instead of listening to the proper feedback and improving upon her item she claimed no one knew what they were talking about while showing she didn't know what she was talking about with " I don't sell medicine" lol.
@@TheCommanderTaco It's also pretty sad, considering that Dave's sauces, particularly their line of hot sauces, are generally well-regarded, especially the Insanity Sauce. They really should have checked things out before they bought the sauce.
I am suprised she's not getting sued by the people that made the Ranch dressing she used. It's not like she made it from scratch. She used another companies bottled formula and sold it as her own.
Especially if it's too the point she can't afford rent. What happened to her regular job? Did she really think the pink sauce income would settle her for the rest of her life and quit lol.
@@TheCommanderTacoIts actually the most fateful ironic twists of fate. She claims the company lied to her and hustled her out of money, while she did exactly that to her customers. Also, the sauce itself oughtta be hot pink and ended up being rotten brown/grey. This is just magical!
I’d be calling Adult Protective Services to check on her mom. How she 6 ft under, but still able to cash her disability checks to give this woman $20 a day? 🤔💀
I think what people fail to understand is, she sold her pink sauce to another company and the contract she signed was a one time deal, not royalties like she had assumed. So she spent her one check and is now not making any money…. The pink sauce you see in Walmart is NOT from this lady, but from (Dave’s Gourmet?) the company who bought her sauce. I hope this info helps! (She is still a wack-a-doodle 😂)

that shot of her in Walmart is fxxking gold. And if you look closely, you can tell she took it from the bottom shelf and switched it with some upper level shit...I'm laughing so hard right now at her "entitled" ass
man if she played her cards right and not been greedy she would of been making so much, especially after the barbie movie’s success she could of even collaborated with them
Crazy how last year she blew up and then now she is being "Silienced" and financially betrayed while living in 2 universes where her mother died when she was 1 and the other where she is disabled and gives $20 on a daily basis.
That's a good point about how she ran out of money so fast. She's already been paid $120k, but now she's broke? I don't know what her income was like before all this, but there's no way it was close to that. She should still have a something left over from those initial payouts.
That is the million dollar question lol. Tried to do some basic math, and it does not add up to me ( though I am guesstimating prices since I don't live in Florida). Ignoring her income beforehand she was making according to Dave's 10K a month from them alone. Assuming she had a nice apartment that would be around 3K a month. That leaves 7K for bills and groceries. Let's be generous and say that somehow was 1K. There is still 6K a month left lol. She did mention "marketing" but what kind of marketing and why would she think Dave's would reimburse her for paying for marketing? Unless she called them beforehand and told them she was going to spend X amount for marketing and they gave the "go ahead we will pay you back later". Then they don't owe her any reimbursement lol.
I think the fame got to her head and she started spending her money like crazy. She probably thought that it would always be this way and started buying really expensive junk just for the hell of it. But I'm just speculating. Who knows? Or maybe she's lying in the hopes that she can walk away with $100k on top of her royalty payments.
It's her own doing. She decided to sell a product that wasn't FDA approved, then she continued to ship the product in TERRIBLE packaging. From what I've heard, the product isn't good either (said by many people who have gotten the product), and it's just watery ranch that's slightly pink. If people are going out of their way to spend money on a product, she should at least have the human decency to make sure the product is properly packaged so it can make it through the shipping process.
@@adamsfusion You do realize FDA stands for "FOOD and Drug Administration", right? They don't only look at medical supplies, but food products as well.
@@adamsfusion "The FDA regulates the safety of ingredients added directly to food and substances that come into contact with food, such as those added to packaging materials, cookware or containers that store food. Food manufacturers are responsible for marketing safe foods. Ingredients added directly to food and substances that come into contact with food are generally held to the same safety standard-there must be a reasonable certainty of no harm under the conditions of its intended use. The FDA has several programs in place to assist the food industry in meeting their responsibilities. The FDA maintains a list of almost 4,000 substances in its public database Substances Added to Food, which also includes ingredients no longer authorized for use in food. In addition, food manufacturers are responsible for ensuring that food made by using new technologies meets the same safety requirements as all other food. The FDA provides pre-market consultation for manufacturers who use innovative food technologies." If she were just serving her food in a restaurant, you would be correct. But since she was shipping packaged food with nutritional data printed on it (that was inaccurate, for the record), it should have been up to FDA standards.
As soon as I saw "I'm a single mom", and with it being new information, I completely stopped feeling like she needs sympathy. It's using your kids as a bargaining chip, and that's just ridiculous.
i feel bad for those poor kids, stuck with such a horrible and narcissistic person as their parent who is destroying any chance of a future life for them
I haven't eaten it, but if the sauce was briefly successful and then suddenly is not, that suggests it really doesn't taste good. I'm not talking about what she shipped herself, but about the safe version eventually sold in Walmart. People tried it once because of the hype, but they didn't become repeat customers.
From what I’ve heard it’s similar to an average tasting ranch that’s pink. It’s too much of a novelty for anyone to stop buying whatever their preferred ranch is and whenever I saw it at Walmart it was slightly overpriced for what it is.
@@KrisHandsome far too overpriced for how rotten it is* EDIT: Apparently, it's not rotten in the stores, but it's still far too overpriced for the fact that Chef Pi is getting money for each time a store buys a bottle of the sauce to sell.
@@SmileOlderBro_GodsBrother The sauce in the store isn’t rotten or anything. I don’t know why people seem to think Pii is literally making it in her kitchen and selling it in stores. It’s being made by professionals now, it’s just not that good flavor wise to justify buying it over any normal sauce.
@@KrisHandsome Oh okay. I take the L then. It's still far too overpriced for the fact Chef Pi is probably getting paid for each time a Walmart buys a bottle of the sauce to sell.
Nah, it doesn’t need to be FDA approved, she ain’t selling medicine For those who may not know, this is a point that pink sauce lady actually made thinking it was logical…
@@tanakisoupfact tho. The Pink sus does not contribute to your health. it might contribute to a hospital bill if you tried buying it way back when she was shipping the bottles in the middle of summer....
@@tanakisoupI love seeing that clip with the comments pointing out the F stands for food. It truly baffles me how she worked as a chef without knowing that. How in the world did she get her food handlers card unless laws pertaining to serving food are different on Florida. I am from Texas and if you handle anything related to serving food to the public you need a food handlers card ( which from my past experience just requires watching a video and taking a test).
Yeah, nah. Dave's provided receipts. She got paid. She had a 10,000 dollar check when she made the gofundme. She's a scammer and she's just re-scamming. She's still getting paid. Dave's will provide you the proof if you ask them.
True, the problem is like any business partnership they both share the earnings and costs, so Dave's spends money and makes the crap sauce then shares the costs and earnings with her so she probably tought she's entitled to more not knowing how the hell a partnership works given she's proven so many times how smart and intelligent she is with all the FDA stuff and so on. 😂😂😂
@@SHAdow98V even if that is the case she still got paid 120k and if she's broke its because she spent money on frivolous stuff and thats not a reason to start a go fund me.

The pink sauce sells at my Walmart for almost $7 a bottle. I'm not speaking for anybody else but that is about $3 too much for a dipping sauce. Even Chick-fil-A dipping sauces are $4 and there are actually reputable & taste good. now why would anyone in their right mind pay $7 for tick tock dipping sauce? 😒
I like how she ate the Mac and cheese with the sauce in one bite and without it in the next after making ZERO reaction to the taste top tier right there
I saw the sauce on the shelf at a Walmart. I took a picture because some of the sauces were pink and others were light brownish pink… how can they be different shades still when a major distributor is overseeing its creation now?!?!
ive never tried pink sauce or seen it at walmart etc, but just looking at it in the bottle and watching people eat it makes my stomach feel weird and kinda makes me wanna puke.
She became famous at first for her marketing (at first), looks, and charisma. She crashed because of her poor marketing, bad attitude, inability to take criticism, and her ego became so big that she couldn’t correct mistakes when she was TOLD what the problem was. She could have bounced back but her need to be right….. anyway…. R.I.P. KS
I thought about trying it after I seen it in walmart but wasn't going to pay 8 dollars for the bottle. Good thing because after I heard of a bunch of people getting diarrhea and puking their guts out I dodged a bullet. My brother tried it and nothing happen to him but he said it smelt kind of like a dirty sock and threw it out.
The company refuted all her claims against them and are able to provide proof of payment among other things. I tend to believe them as she has shown what kind of person she is many times. This will get interesting !
The company had to reformulate the recipe. So it’s not even the original recipe they bought just name. This means either sauce was unsafe, not legal or copies other sauces (plagiarized). They did all the major work (recreating recipe, running it through legal, bottling, distributed). She only did some marketing. They really didn’t sold as much as she thinks. The bad press and people just tired of her. Had they used her original recipe, yes she could ask more but she got what she gave
I think that had she approached the criticism of her and her product better, the brand could have been saved. Had she not been so confrontational and dismissive of people's criticisms, I think she and her product would have been taken more seriously. If she just fessed up and admitted she got it wrong, and made promises to fix things going onward, a lot more people would have been willing to give the sauce a try. Especially after the Dave's Gourmet deal, I feel like that was more reassurance that the product would be preserved and stored correctly.
The fun part is, as a Walmart employee, we have an app on our own phones that lets us perform various work functions. I could tell you the frequency of sails in my store, and believe me, it was roughly one to four bottles sold a month. And that's being extremely generous.
Can't say that she didn't have this shit coming tbh! She literally clowned a customer on live tv and sold people sauce that fucked their insides up and hospitalized people. She deserved this, her kids don't deserve it tho
One of two things happened. Either, 1: Dave’s gourmet really did not pay her the royalties and she has grounds to sue them Or 2: she is too dumb to read the contract and wasted her entire savings on expensive items for herself thinking she is going to get paid no matter what when in reality there might actually be a clause stating that the sales must reach a certain value in order to get paid. I know chef pii couldn’t even spell the word FOOD in FDA so I am more inclined to believe that the second one happened.
First off, in a case like this, lawyer's almost certainly reached out to her and decided not to take the case. It sounds like a weak case. Likely what happened is that the agreement ran up and she just got her last significant payment. At 200,000 units sold in a year in a major retailer, it looks like it did modestly well, and $120k isn't too bad a payout on that. I think that's around 15% royalties, which for her doing next to nothing and being just a normal person, pretty good. It looks like they didn't renew, which sucks, but that's their right. They're not going to pay her for marketing unless it was in the contract. Everything so far looks above board, so I'd hazard she's bad with money and salty over it.
I saw the pink sauce at Walmart and this older gentleman was going to buy it but I told him all about it he called his granddaughter whom he was getting it for and I actually heard her yelling "No, do not buy it's toxic!" LOL!
I guess the question at that point is how much if anything would have to be changed so she can't try and sue them lol. With the contract they were in Dave's had already changed some of the ingredients to make it safe for packaging.
Why would they want to? It's a failed product, they have their flagship sauce's that bring in ~$12m a year, they have been a successful company for at least a decade with no sign of slowing down, whatever contract they made with her obviously would have been a non risky one where they knew they could take the losses. It's not like Dave's completely reimaged their whole company around this lady's sauce. There's nothing to pull out, it failed, they probably stopped producing it and ended the contract. For Dave's it's just a fun little project, it'll cost more to try and paint shit gold than it would to just pay her her dues and move on as they were. If anything, they will be even more successful because they will be trusted and their name is out more because of this. The ship imploded at 3000m, it's gone.
Honestly surprised she managed to get a deal in the first place. My first thought was her sauce not selling/meeting minimums for payment, but as you said could be many other things.
damn, i forgot that this pink sauce trend existed😂 i thought it was like 3 years ago, and then august said it was only last year, and i'm like😐 trends in the pandemic era are forgettable.
It's amazing how people get a little taste of money and assume it's gonna always be rolling in. I wish I heard she learned from the mistakes (with pink sauce) she made and invested some of that payout into going to culinary school because she obviously had some good ideas but she doesn't seem to be thinking along those tracks. It's like she thought she invented something everyone would need and could live large on that pink money. I'd honestly would be happy for her if at this point she just saves what she gets now for her kids. I doubt she could make any investments that could pay out much at this point. It's a shame she let the moment slip through her hands. She definitely could have made a nice living for herself and family from the jumpstart from that pink sauce.
Told my son her story and he said she's scamming people. I say this because August said there's a video talking about her mom died when she was a month old. I wonder if she's ever been caught for fraud.
Either she’s living beyond her means, or this is a backdoor method and she is covering herself for trying to be out of a deal or get a better one. In a video titled, “Pink Sauce Lady Lied” it mentions from Dave’s that she has indeed been paid, but doesnt say how long of a deal she has if its one year or multiple. Either this is for clout or for scamming.
Love how it’s been 2 wks and her gofundme is still dry. Almost as if, treating customers like crap for criticizing you ISN’T a good business strategy lol
- Make your own sauce - Advertise your own sauce - Ship and package your product poorly, resulting in customers receiving broken, bursted, or spoiled product - Make it impossible for customers to know what is even really in your sauce - Act abrasive towards anyone who contacts you over these issues - Get roasted over the internet - Go on TV and tell everyone that it's their fault, not yours - Reputation officially ruined - Partner to make your sauce actually edible, stocked in shelves - Sauce doesn't sell, receive no royalties - "i hAvE nO mOnEy aNd iTs NoT mY fAuLt"
Calling herself a chef is just terrible, i could already tell she's the type to buy expensive clothes and jewelry, i understand clothes (not expensive) buy jewelry no
