My running theory is that the trapped heroes either become britter at being trapped for so long that they just wanna scare people or they forget that they aren't evil spirits.

The people out here appreciate you pushing through, Zorin. Pirates Grotto has got atmosphere for nautical miles; I use the navigation miles because they are longer than those measured over land. I am so happy they made Cortez fully bilingual for the remake. It helps with my burgeoning Spanish comprehension. Zorin’s laughs help with brightening my day after a tired, confused, scary morning. Oh, and isn’t the final chest spirit so sweet? He even asks if he was TOO evil when cursing you with paper boat status.

One of my favorite bosses in the game. A well put together multi phase fight. The character is great too.

The Cortez fight is already great, but what pushes all the way to being one of my favourites is how it takes into account so many things. The bone pile helps Bobbery attack without having to waste MP too early. If you attack the jewel when his rib is open, you deal more damage. Then there's the final phase. Not only is it possible to deal enough damage to skip the audience getting absorbed, you can even blow the weapons away with Flurrie.

Cortez is one of the coolest characters in the game, and a really fun fight with an awesome theme. Flurrie really shines in this fight, Gale Force blows the weapons completely out of the fight.

@ZorrinKozaki well not for the main roads anyway, they were always near a short cut or a stones throw away. I mean there were so much more areas to explore than just a linear series of corridors you have to keep backtracking through. Like the option to trek a huge 5 by 5 grid desert or searching a jungle for lost kids. There were a lot of roads off the beaten path to explore. I mean I still love thousand year door, but it's just so much smaller.

🤓 actually, you don't *have* to blow up Bob-ombs in battles, you can beat them before they explode on their own. if you set them off early, their explosions will do less damage and will only give you one Star Point, but defeating them properly like a regular enemy will get you the normal amount you can get from a battle! if they explode on their own over time though, their explosions will become more devastating if you can't beat them fast enough

About the possible former hero being a rude jerk, how would you feel if you were stuck in a chest for a freaking millennium with the only thing you have to look forward to, “cursing” some poor schmuck, is already known about and predicted by the person who frees you?
