SL seasons come and go. But one thing that never changes is the over reaction by everyone except the teams.

Trade Sasser asap he can't be on the roster by the season. Only real hope for this franchise is to get Cooper Flag. Ron Holland may be a best and they are going to regret passing on Cody Williams

I don’t think Sasser is part of the pistons future. Wouldn’t be surprised to see him as part of a trade

I’m here for the overreactions! But Daniss Jenkins looked so much better than Sasser. Better defender, better passer, better ball handling, better instincts, had great pass aheads that led to easy buckets. I’ve been on the trade Sasser train for awhile. Simply cause I think a contender would give up a late first/early second for him. Daniss reminded me a lot of the Derrick White type of roll.

I've never liked Sasser and I'm not basing this on summer league, he looked like this for a good portion of the season last year too.. he's way too streaky not what this team needs. Someone that's already been in a NBA rotation should not be struggling for significant portions of their 2nd year in summer league. He has to do a lot better or there should be questions about his role on the team.

Sasser ain’t it

Sasser doesn't have trade value, but you could always just cut him for the roster spot.

@@scottwickett1273 I'll take a bag of peanuts for Sasser at this point. This is a Troy Weaver nightmare better to move on to players that actually can do things well we need them to. We have a tendency to try to play players in roles they are not good at, Sasser can never be a point guard.

Hell no sasser isn’t in the opening rotation. Malik Beasley. And Cade. And Ivey and THJ are the 4 guards that will play barring injuries. Omari forgot about our best shooter Malik Beasley.

What I don't understand is why would your rookies not play every single summer league game if there's no injuries. These guys clearly need work. This is why our organization continues to stay at the bottom.

Every team limits minutes for top draft picks in summer league. This isn't a contributing factor in the Pistons struggles.

Should have drafted Cody Williams he's looked much better so far
@scottwickett1273

Nope. Summer league doesn't count, how do you not already know that by now.
@rashadm.1976
@rashadm.1976 Месяц назад
@@scottwickett1273 it counts for player developmemt, but it's not fully indicative of the trajectory of a player. Players that will end up stars at least usually look way too good to be playing in summer league by their 2nd season though.

Ron is an upside pick that might be a project. Cody isn't as athletic leaving him with a lower ceiling. The floor might be higher but teams care more about the ceiling
@rashadm.1976
@rashadm.1976 Месяц назад
@@pheralanpathfinder4897 That's fair and I was slightly being sarcastic and pessimistic because you know the Pistons have had an unreal ability to make the wrong pick in draft after draft for the last 15 years. The only one they probably have gotten right for sure is Cade which was a no brainer at #1. I understand the upside argument I just hope they got this one right for a change.
@pheralanpathfinder4897
@pheralanpathfinder4897 Месяц назад
@@rashadm.1976the draft is always a gamble. Even the greatest drafting team has many busts and rarely end up with the best player available at their pick.
