Excursion to the Chernobyl nuclear power plant.
On this trip, we visited the control room-4 (block control panel of the 4th power unit). This is the infamous place where the largest man-made disaster occurred on April 26, 1986;
We also visited the operating bunker under the Chernobyl nuclear power plant; visited
crisis center, which was the headquarters of the liquidators after the Chernobyl disaster. The same bunker was shown in the first episode of the HBO series "Chernobyl" as a meeting place for representatives of the Soviet authorities in the first hours after the accident;
MCR-2 and MCR-3 (block control panels of the second and third units), visited TsCRU-1 (central control room, control room of the outdoor switchgear of the outdoor switchgear and workplace of the station shift supervisor), walked along the "Golden Corridor", the length of which is 800 meters and got into the central hall of the third block, where the upper plate of the biological protection of the RBMK reactor is located.
We were able to see the main circulation pumps of the third block, which provide water supply to the reactor core;
