Nice modeling! Some historical info; the Italians also had a pretty respectable submarine fleet, although Hollywood and our media have chosen not to cover it, generally speaking. Italian subs operated singly and not in wolfpacks, and over a hundred were lost in the Atlantic. A great color movie was done in the 1950's called "Submarine Attack", starring Folco Lulli, which actually used an authentic WW2 Italian sub. You can see it on RU-vid, has some great interior shots. Also they hired stunt pilots flying Mustangs to attack the sub on strafing runs----again very realistic.

CORRECTION; Just checked RU-vid and apparently "Submarine Attack" has been taken down, probably due to copyright issues. It comes and goes, so check periodically. Great and realistic film, based on a true story of an Italian sub that took survivors of a shipwreck aboard.
