My grandmother taught me how to dance to this song when I was 5 years old. I thank God everyday for my grandmother teaching me how to dance, and what real music is!
I just watched that episode tonight and fell in love with this song right away that episode was HORRIFYING though! Jeez! I can see why I used to scream and run whenever I heard the X-Files theme song!
You know you're getting old when you start liking the music that your parents used to listen to. How many times as a teenager was this played in the car.
I cried reading this Nowadays all songs I used to despise when I was a child because my parents used to listen to them and weren't that "cool", are the most songs I listen to. To remember my innocent childhood when my was alive
grew up in Los Angeles in the 60s and 70s. This was played in my house as a kid. My parents bought all the Lps. I still have them from the 50s. This music brigs the tears to my eye as they danced to this music when I was a kid.
5cary M0nst3rs They picked the perfect song and now it gives me spooky vibes like the harmonizing and the beat the lyrics is totally off but the trailer give me spooky vibes and I love it
I have enjoyed The Platters since my high school days in the U.S.. I am now in my seventies, settled in my home country, but still loving this great musical group. Cheers from Guayaquil, Ecuador.
I, too, enjoyed The Platters since my high school days. I'm in my seventies, too. They still make me smile and light up my heart. Cheers to Guayaquil, Ecuador fro Los Angeles, CA.
I fall in love every time I hear this song. Such a beautiful voice! Oh my goodness, it would have been wonderful being a teenager back in the day, a bouncy ponytail, pleated skirts, cardigan sweaters with pears wearing saddle shoes. ❤
Marvel always choose not too popular and not overused songs, BUT THEY'RE SO GREAT, Guardians 1 and 2, Ant-man and the Wasp, Spider-Man: Homecoming, Black Panther, Cap Marvel, Endgame. Edit: What I meant is they didn't choose any song just for fun, they choose what's the best song for the film, not just they choose for what's popular. I think they never used pathetic songs which were overused in the movies.
Everybody: "You're here from the WandaVision trailer aren't you?" Me: "Oh, I don't think that was ever in question." Thank you guys for giving me a thousand likes for the first time, much appreciate it.
@@jadezee6316 imagine a widow killing their partner late at night on a full moon. She contemplates what she just did, but she cant fully comprehend it. She eventually falls into madness. She starts dancing while this song plays in the background.
Thanks for the wandavision trailer or Sony or whatever for helping other peoples to discover this song. Doesn’t matter what got you into the song at the first place. Now that you found it, you can enjoy it the way you want. Don’t feel any less smarter than anyone else because you discovered it through a trailer. Music is meant to be shared and enjoyed by anyone, no matter who they are.
Aina Nomena92 Unless it’s bought from tik tok , everyone who just liked this song or came from a PlayStation ad or movies can claim this song , but if they ever come from tik tok 😐😐😐😂
I still love The Platters!!!!!!!!! This was a great song and I still love it!!! There are no groups that sing these kinds of songs------------what a shame!!
Sounds like Anemoia, which is "a feeling of nostalgia for things you never experienced." I get it a lot, usually for the 50s & early 60's. I was born in the 80s.
This was my dad's song for my mom, I remember when I was a kid they used to sing this while both of them played the guitar, the blending was beautiful, I also remember when my dad used to sing this in the karaoke when we have family gatherings he would turn to my mom and they would act like they are still young. Now I always catch my mom playing this song in the guitar and in her phone when she miss my dad. Too bad my dad is already gone by the time I was old enough to play this song in the guitar. He'd be happy if the three of us could sing this together.
Sorry for your loss... My mom and dad both loved this song... My dad died 26 years ago and my mother passed last year, but our memories keep them alive

I got these lyrics from a handsome boy at school in 1960 or so… I’d like to have dated him but the school year was soon over and we never met after that. “Dreams of old”…
It's such a garbage commercial though, like why would a bunch of fictional homoerotic pixely dudes bro out with each other to this? Why would they syndicate it?
My husband and I actually accidentally met up with a more current iteration of the Platters upstairs at the old Aladdin Hotel in Vegas around 1 am probably in the early 90's! Just before we moved to Vegas in '95. It was heavenly of course!
Twilight TimeHeavenly shades of night are falling, it's Twilight Time Out of the mist your voice is calling, "Tis Twilight Time" When purple colored curtains mark the end of day I'll hear you, my dear, at Twilight Time. Deepening shadows gather splendor as day is done Fingers of night will soon surrender the setting sun I count the moments, darling, til you're here with me Together, at last, at Twilight Time. Here in the afterglow of day We keep our rendezvous beneath the blue Here in the sweet and same old way I fall in love again as I did then. Deep in the dark your kiss will thrill me like days of old Lighting the spark of love that fills me with dreams untold Each day I pray for evening just to be with you Together, at last, at Twilight Time.
My old dad bought this as a 78 rpm record way, way back in 1958 and now, every time I hear this beautiful song and close my eyes I’m four years old again, living in a prefab in South East London.
Who's here because of "OnlyUp!" game? Anyone? 'Coz I'm here for it. UPDATE AS OF 7/2023: Sadly, that song is already replaced with a new BGM due to copyright reason.

My Father also played this song on the piano. The poetic, melodic words add so much to this song it is complete beauty, combined with your voices. Thank you for this memory.
