PlayStation 1 has 500+ underrated racing games. Sports Car GT, Porsche Challenge, and Rallye de Europe 2000 are some of the my favourites.

39:13 Shinseiki GPX is *NOT* a racing game. It's a visual novel style game about a futuristic F1 driver based on an anime. He participates in several races during the story, but you don't control the car; instead, at some points during the races the game let's you choose between three choices to influence the outcome (things like go to the inside/outside, boost, protect your position and such). Most of the game is spent talking to other characters in between races.

Aside from the famous titles, there are a bunch of underrated racing games on PS1 that no one talks about. Rally Cross, Nascar Rumble, Porsche Challenge are some of my favourite.

So good. every one of them looks so captivating. its the era of best video game graphics and feeling. i will maybe play all of them one day. my favorite is a humble game Toy Story Racer 47:23. It uses the same engine as Muppet Race Mania 26:53

Side By Side Special 2000 is my favorite PS racing game best music = Shutokou Battle RacingGroovy is a hidden gem, plays very well. Absolutely fantastic list. Many many thanks. Ridge Racer Turbo is missing, completely different game. \same music perhaps Also some of these are rpg or strategy games with a racing theme. I would love to know which one of these support 4 players or more Also which games support analog control, dual shock or negcon or other Interested to see which other games run in a hi-res mode like Ridge Racer Turbo Which games run at 60fps like Ridge Racer Turbo But I would not dare ask you to investigate all this. What you did with this video is already outstanding!

I am searching for a Kart Racing Game I would play as a child on PS1, it had characters with their cars and there were power ups you could use, the most reminding thing for me in that game is that there was a battle mode where everybody would be on a piece of land and you had to throw everyone out to win (never achieved victory there) and remember the character I used the most had a magic carpet and fly to dry dipping the enemies. Does anyone knows which game is it? Couldn’t find it in the list
