Thanks very much for this helpful insight. So helpful! I do have a question if I may. The word bloem which ends with an 'em'. Could that be another exception? It ends with "em" so it belongs to the condition where you add an 's' to the plural form but in reality the plural form of the word bloem is "bloemen" and not "bloems"?

Hi, 'oe' is one sound, so that's why.

Great video. This was quite useful to me. I do have two questions though. What about vowel digraphs (as endings) like "-ie" and "-oe", do they also get a "-s" added to the end? And what about double vowels like "-oo", "-uu", "-ee" and "-aa" if words end with them? Does "-ee" get a "-s", while the others get a "-'s" added?

Thanks. For these endings, there are lots of variations. Except for -uu, -aa and -oo, I can't think of any word ending with these letters. Except zoo (zoos in the plural).
