The Pod: Stunning Tiny Container House in Gordon’s Bay, Cape Town. The Pod at Gordon’s Bay in Cape Town is built with sustainability and the environment in mind. This single story guest house is made from a single 40' High cube shipping container. The space consists of a lounge area, 1 bedroom, 1 bathroom and also a kitchen. The container is elevated on a concrete pier foundation away from moisture. The container was fabricated on site where all the fenestrations were cutout and the container framed out with timber. The house was given an additional roof above the shipping container and an extension of the indoor living space to a big outdoor deck.
