The 4th one is June Pointer passed in 2006 of cancer. Ruth, Anita on lead and Bonnie are still singing, but Bonnie left in 1978 for a sole career. This year is their 40th year in showbusiness they plan to tour together Ruth, Anita, Bonnie and maybe Ruth's grand daughter Sadoko and Issa.
I love this song but the lyrics got preachy in the early 70's, with this groove I'd put in some Lowrider like lyrics, or Stevie 's boogie on raggae woman.
The message is positive . The good men need a good woman to help him make it. The ladies can make it happen . We can make the situation better if the woman are backing the man . The sisters remind me of the Christian woman I knew in the past who were right on time for their children . God bless our woman .
Wow I'm surprised to finally see a video performance of this powerful song up here thank you and God bless you always Bluesjunkie12, surprised no one commented on this, well I love the song, glad to see all four of the sisters,the original Pointers together in one setting. I would love to see more video performances if there are any with the Original Four.
