I do hope we get more games from series of the DS era. Thought maybe we’d get more after the Mystery Dungeon remake on Switch, but not yet. At least I’ll have some time to catch up on Rangers, lol
Probably due to stylers need to use stylus to perform that, one more thing that the Nintendo Switch doesn't have stylus, no wonder if it's never be remade.
One of the things I really like about the Pokémon Ranger episodes and the film is that they all tell the events of special missions from the game, in the first Pokémon Ranger game there is a mission with Celebi, another one with Deoxys and a special one with Manaphy and everything that was said in the Pokémon Ranger movie was similar to what we know from the game. In Pokémon Ranger Shadows of Almia there is a mission with a Riolu with Aura Sphere and once again, the 2 episodes in season 11 are similar to the in-game events (Ash being able to locate Riolu for example, a character named Kyle can do the same thing) And in Guardian Signs there is a mission with a Heatran and in season 13 there is a last Pokémon Ranger episode with a Heatran There are more missions but I only talked about the ones there are episodes of
Honestly it feels like gamefreak is focusing on girl trainers more than male trainers over the years which kinda starts to make me feel somewhat uncomfortable cuz if ash meets male trainers like calem or Brandon or even Victor. It’ll be awesome but I guess that’ll never happen. Talk about fanbase and all that. Anyways hope you can make an episode dedicated for male trainers or other mythical Pokémon or other movies. Like diancie or Hoopa or even Darkrai
Funny you should write this under a video about a Pokemon Ranger episode, because all the other protagonists from this spin-off series appearing in the anime are boys
Heh. I never forgot about Solana -how could I because even as a kid, I was a degenerate- but holy shit, I DID forget how athletic she was in this episode. Makes sense for that to be the case especially because you gotta be FIT for the job and be very adaptable to various situations. Like you, I forgot the general episode beats but hey, if a character and design sticks into your head years later even after just remembering a mostly mundane episode, you know the designers did _something right_ -again, I was and still am a degenerate- . I don't remember the boy's name though. Lol. The one who helps in that Special Riolu two parter.
I never played Ranger either, but I have vague memories of getting a friend to give me his Manaphy over to my Pearl version in return for NOTHING. I don't remember if that friend was a real person or if it was just an action replay though...
The games are fun and what makes them special to me are the amazing sprite art and animations. Each Pokémon is portrayed very nicely and accurately to how you’d assume they would when in the wild. For anyone that hasn’t played these games they’re a pretty good time and are quality spin offs
I do like the sprite art for spin off games because they can have the Pokémon in different angles and movements. Looking forward to how they all look in Ranger!
God i love the Pokemon Ranger series. The gameplay is technically just drawing circles around Pokemon but it was so much fun to play. The art style is charming the music is good and the story was interesting to follow as a kid. Still remember when i was younger and i wanted the new Pokemon Ranger game so badly i went outside to buy it during heavy snow but there was no bus that could bring me back so i ended up having to be brought home by the police much to the surprise of my mom.
Pokémon Ranger: Guardian Signs remains one of my favorite games period. Especially the multiplayer - it's super fun, but challenging even as an adult. Also, Hocus did Dynamax before SwSh
I never played the ranger games either but after seeing the manaphy movie, jaiden animations and now this I really should. Pokemon Rangers are just that good
Those games were incredible. Especially loved the post game events that let you move the special Pokémon into the mainline games. Sad that Pokémon doesn’t do that anymore.
This isnt even the only cross over episode they had with Ranger. They even got the Male protag in Shadows of Almia (Ranger 2) to appear in the Sinnoh anime And Guardian Signs (Ranger 3) got their own OVA so its pretty near.
Oh yeah I remember this episode....sorta. It's been a while since I've watched Advanced but I did remember tidbits of this episode. It was pretty average but I thought Solana was cool and she showed off stuff from Ranger (a series I didn't know about at the time) pretty well. Also she has an amazing design. Like, it's really good.
@@GatorEX 10 year old me could never beat Dusknor but then I finally beat him when I found explorers of Sky cartridge in my room I was wondering where that thing was and in the main series I could never beat the grass totem fight
Ha jokes on you I never forgot these eps XD always loved the games so when the anime did Ranger eps I always loved them plus they normally had the bigger adventures in those eps. also love the Ranger movie it's one of my favorites. and I've always loved the idea of the Pokemon Rangers surprised they don't show up more in things
I predict that GatorEX will not like the original Pokémon Ranger, but will greatly enjoy the sequels, because as good as this spin-off series is as a whole, I don’t think the first one is a very good game.
Legit if Pokémon were real I’d wanna be a ranger, across the games you get to channel Pokémon moves yourself, like your casting freakin’ magic out your styler, you can command Pokémon en masse no six limit, or even summon them which is insane just straight up teleport any Pokémon you need even legendary Pokémon to you, plus their job is badass why yes I’d love to professionally help people as “quests”, maintain safe routes through nature, defend settlements against wild Pokémon, stop humans mistreating Pokémon, take out evil organisations and care for wild settlements of Pokémon, like Rangers are such a cool part of Pokémon lore that really make sense in a world filled with magical creatures that control the elements why wouldn’t you have a force dedicated to dealing with that without intruding on their life conservation styles,
