I have owned a Slingshot since 2015. I have a cruiser motorcycle and Nissan 350z. I use my Slingshot more than any other vehicle I own. Haters will always have something to say. Driving the Slingshot is a experience you can't get with car or bike. The review that was done is honest and accurate.
I normally drive an MX5 Miata, the slingshot I drove seemed more tail happy. Didn't drive the Slingshot long, but the experience was similar. If it were easier to straddle road kill, I might have one, They're awesome!
It'd be fun to own as a fifth vehicle, assuming you have a shed to store your toys. If I won the lottery, I'd own a Slingshot. It'd be a ton of fun, six days a year.
I'm tired of people comparing the Slingshot to a Mazda. Its a auto cycle. It has as much or more storage space than a average motorcycle. If you want more space buy saddle bags for it. Polaris made this machine for someone to have fun and believe me, it's Fun.
I'm not even a sports car enthusiast. I came for the review and stayed for the man lol - deeply enjoyable video to watch. Super smooth voice, funny and personable, and even better I actually understood everything he said! Normally car lingo is lost on me! (Lets just put aside his good looks for now lol handsome)
I think they are really cool ... What sets it apart from a "motorcycle" is the steering wheel and seats ... I say a car drivers lisence should do and wear a helmet when or if you want ... Then I may buy one ... PS ... I bomb around on a Polaris 900 ACE !!
I have had mine since 2015. Was one of the first in my area to own one. The one thing I hated was being anywhere with a lot of people the slingshot attracts way too much attention at first it was cool to feel like a rock star but then it got really annoying. Because their weren't a lot on the road in begining I was bombarded. Questions which were asked from people. 1) did I built it ? 2) how much does it cost? 3) does it fly? And my favorite where do you buy one lol......
Go ahead drive in traffic in pouring rain especially with semi trucks on the interstate at posted speeds. Tell you what you won’t stay on top. It’s way too light with them wide tires. It hydroplanes right into the ditch.
This thing is like a motorcycle but its down side is lack of storage. I can fit a back pack in here,thats about it. On motorcycle i can wear my back pack. And it has this large glove box. That sounds odd :D
So it costs 10x as much as a 2nd gen Toyota MR2 (which sounds about the same, FYI), and is worse in every way. But don't worry, baby boomers will be jealous and that makes up for it!

Had a Honda S2000 -- now a Civic SI -- wonder how the handling compares with the S2000. Suspect the S2000 is much better. I no longer have a mc license, so I would have to go through an accredited State course somewhere which may not be a bad idea. Seems strange if I do not need a special license to drive a 6 speed 150mph S2000, but do need the M endorsement to drive a Polaris. In any event, this seems to be a good alternative to a bike given I am 78 and probably too old to ride a bike.

Because of your comment, I watched a few other youtube reviews of the slingshot. In general, they were positive. None called it trash. None suggested it be used on a beach.
Since it came out a few years ago I've always found it ugly and unfinished. Still with that too trim edition, it still looks unfinished. If you look at it from the rear, it looks atrocious. If only it had a Honda engine with V-tec, that'd be truly interesting
Looks like something you'd buy for your "special" child. These things are absolutely ridiculous. Know that you are being laughed at by almost everyone you pass. Do they make clown themed gear?
I raced a Spec Miata last season. I always thought it was a jellybean if a car, but it’s a great race series. I still think the slingshot looks ridiculous. :)
