The college goals and statements are centered around achieving and celebrating diversity, multiculturalism, etc. So professor selection matters. If you find that you are the victim of professor bias, make sure you are following the rules via the syllabus and then fight your grades with the department, grade appeals etc. Also, be warned that college is no longer a place where ideas can be argued. Professors expect students to listen quietly and the regurgitate their ideology and values. If you go into a class looking to engage in respectful argumentation of perspectives, you’ll be lucky to receive an A.
