Who cares what it looks like, sounded awesome and snatching gears looked real good to me. Car runs real good and with some laughing gas she will really run good. Love what ya have done with this build, keep it up and the vids coming. Merry Christmas!!!!!!!
When the dust flew out of the headliner i burst out laughing. The car is GREAT. it sounds like a war machine and moves like a bullet. Dude, there aint NUTHIN you cant do. When you are banging those gears and that motor is screaming I cant help but think, YOU GOT THE RIGHT STUFF. John Glenn, step aside. PLEASE. honestly, one of your best videos EVER
Looking good! My E7, stock cam car (way back when I raced it) was a 7.9 - 8.0 car in the 1/8th. Translated to 12.5s in the 1/4. I see you getting there with the poop coupe, probably even faster once you dial it in.
No worries mate! You will be in the 7's before it is all said and done. You will get it all worked out, you are the best at trouble shooting issues. Merry Christmas!! Love and blessings from Motown/Dearborn!
At least you finally getting outta the shop!!!! Make her giggle and daily it. Was thinking those Scott rod door panels swirled up would be cool. Maybe a class on window tint would be outstanding.
The ole poopcoupe is running damn good, some more tuning and get those brakes fixed, she is getting closer for some track runs, and maybe some laughing gas spray will make it interesting.
"Granny shiftin' not double clutchin' like you should. You're lucky that hundred shot of NOS didn't blow the welds on the intake!" Great Build, 7.5 w/125 shot
I had a 96 gt, needed a new rearend and i wanted 4.10s, let the guy talk me into 3.73s, he didn't do a good job and went somewhere else to redo it. I wasn't happy with the 3.73s so went with 4.10s, loved it. Miss that car.
Running good! I’m impressed but I don’t think Rodney will be. Lol Funny that you mentioned him, I was making my comment before you said it. Rodney can put a rust bucket of a budget fox down the track! Regardless, love the car and she’s running strong!
My car did a 9.1 at 87 mph. Lol. I had to launch from idle because it had no rear brakes and an aod. 2.4 60 ft. Ran a 13.6 at 108 mph. Crazy good mph for that slow.
Runs good for what it has 👍 My poop hatch with a very similar setup has hit 82 mph, untouched e7 heads and e303 cam, but otherwise almost same setup. Not uphill though 😂
I run a 10 an vent in each vc with 5/8 pcv vent hose on both down in front of the rad with air filters on the end of the hoses. Could catch can but doesn’t really have much oil mostly moisture…
Lets think about this. You took a pile of parts and a shell, and now you have a car that is running 0-60 in 5.17 seconds. the brand new 45 thousand dollar mustangs are running about 4.5 seconds. I mean, what you have created is incredible. If you ask me, this thing is POOPLICIOUS. thats the new name , POOPLICIOUS. looks good, sounds good, hell it even smells good now ! did someone say, FEBREZE IN THE HOUSE ? OH HELL YES.
Cool coupe......bigger carb slows down the air speed so it sucks less on the jetting/venturi. You could raise the float up, or add smaller high speed air bleed, but that is a global change. A 650 should run crisper since you would richen it up with smaller jetting and it would recover from shifts and pull 4th better. You can tell because the pass you spun the most was the fastest The hot ticket back in the day was that setup with Edelbrock RPM's a 650 and a 150 shot and 373's......we went mid 10's back in the day with that recipe.
Did you know that you could swap out for a smaller distributor cap? I just seen a guy share this. Amazon has best price. AL482 CAP and Rotar button FD311. I seen that and thought of you. Shorter and less circumference. It's an International part, but works. Had to share it with you, you may already know.
Love your show. I just watched this episode with my boyfriend. He really wants the t-shirt you had on that says "Push Rod Pimp". Do you happen to remember where you got it? Or is it custom made?
Yeah Tussin would manage a 6.9 out of that same car 😅 he be driving the hell out of them but he is a very good driver shifting dead on with the shift light. With that being said I think that you pulled a very good number out of the car on 50 yr old asphalt on those old backroads around your house. They need to repave them some kind of bad. I think u can squeeze a 7 out of it without trying to hard
Carb is to big for the cam and cubic inch and rpm.the big a carb don’t see enough signal so you have to jet it more. That is the carb I would have bought cause you got room to grow. This has been fun to watch.
I thought you was asking what we thought it would run on a track on slicks ( since you dont have it registerd and insured ) i said 8.50 .. since i seen you run 8.85 im quite sure your gonna run at least a 8.50 on the track and quite possibly even faster . That all depends you know how that goes aswell as i do !!! I seen the and of the video and added a comment .. lmbo
And now im getting to the end of the video where u rejetted the carb and run 8.45 .. i never thought it would run that on the street with sticky brakes so now on the track im thinking 8.10 … i cant wait
Longest. First. Gear. Ever. It seems even longer than my son's car with 3.73s. The last time I ran 4.10s it seemed like I was having to hit 2nd almost instantly.
The Dragy doesn’t need to be reset. It auto resets every time you come to a stop. Common misconception. I’ve made probably 100 passes with a dragy in literally every vehicle in my driveway even the daily drivers lol
The bigger the carb, the signal is not as strong, so it doesn’t pull the fuel out of it, the jet, as easy, so you need more jet size to make up for it. To my understanding, lol, which ain’t much. Nice though, I guessed 8.70 on Facebook I think. I think it’s do it with a touch more tweaking and maybe a puddle and a burnout. It’s faster then my cammed 95. For now at least. Mines going through some upgrades this spring, whole new top end and a carb swap! Edit, 8.45, awesome!
Needs a driver mod. Lol. You're reving it up and dumping the clutch. Of course it's going to spin on the street. Stop dumping the clutch and slipp it to start. Play around with it and learn where it hooks. I use to have my coupes dead hook on most streets with 4.10s if I wanted it to.
You know what maybe turning an efi mustang to carb is not a bad idea seems easier to make more power that way plus there's not much you can do with stock efi when it comes to tuning the engine with out after market efi
