Liberty city being divided into 3 main parts with no countryside and no wilderness but only buildings, suburbs, and parks Los santos being 1 huge island, a city being half the size of the map, and 2 other small cities, however there is mostly mountains, countryside, wilderness, and desert

i always saw it as depressing in certain ways in certain parts. like Acter being depressing for being 100% industries, Algonquin for being so commercialised, broker being just generally shit and having bad weather, but certain places actually have the potential for nice weather which can completely change the colours of the map and make it so much less depressing, though to be fair it’s mostly alderney that does that lmao

Also weather tho, it’s not as sunny and bright as Los Santos n LA. They wearing jackets at times too, so maybe it’s around late fall in GTA 4 tbh. That’s how it is in colder states, you get cloudy days for days

@@SuperBabyMario0C there is also an animation for steam at the mouth of the characters and npcs when they breath. This can also sugest a cold weather

@@paco680 Do you think that we will seriously have a map that is 10x as densely populated as gta 4? Imo it will be somewhere between 200-300k, but they may do something like los santos which will mean lower population.

Way longer gta 6 is 2 more years I assume there probably gonna do another city for gta 7 (maybe san fierro or las venturas or maybe something different) It might not even come back.

Maybe not that long. If I remember correctly the dev did said about GTAVI have Live Service part isn’t it. Maybe that’s how they expanded the game and add new map like Los Santos or Liberty City in the game.

But besides GTA, there are many other games that are set in New York City.

Maybe Manhattan lol Brooklyn and the Bronx look horrible now

i feel like they already made the neighbourhoods distinct. i can almost always tell which area i’m in just by looking at it

@@Sqk. No not really, and I mean Manhattan, as in GTA 4 their version of Manhattan was very condense and generic. I don't mean the other boroughs in the game. Like in real world Manhattan, there is a difference between Soho and the West Village that I want to see captured in a GTA game.

@@mickanvonfootscraymarket5520 i think they likely did that because it represents thr vibe of the game. just like how tlad and tbogt have different lighting depending on their themes, for niko Liberty City is a very strange place and especially in the most busy areas packed with skyscrapers it must seem to all blur together, but that’s just my opinion. it could also be they wanted to represent a specific area of manhattan or didn’t have the space and/or time to fully flesh it out. i do agree though, a truly expansive LC with a much bigger map, and countryside like the scrapped upstate area for IV, would be great

Yeah I never played the game before (was like 2 when te game came out) and I was shockt how good everything was designed.

honestly would be difficult because buildings are uninhabited or whether you count characters such as raiders and such. estimated prewar population would be impossible dissapointingly. quite a large amount of buildings are leveled and its hard to grasp when your looking at a building torn in half.
