My '61 356 is a 42k mile unrestored one previous owner car. Service items, headliner and some restitching on the seats is all that's ever been done. I do have Ferraris Lamborghinis and other Porsches but l would have to say the 356 is my favorite. It is pure mechanical connection to the road and it's engineered to provide that feel. With todays safety requirements this car couldn't be built today. I'm very lucky to have it.

The 356/1 was not rear engined. The 356/2, on which all future 356es were based, was rear-engined.
