A couple of years ago when I first heard this song, I was an alcoholic, and I have a family. It gave me a sense of eternal purpose then, and does now. It was the beginning of the end of that journey, and I've been free for over a year and a half. To me, this is a song of victory. "The task is finished" "The curse is done, the battle won". Indeed, and more. Amen.

I found this song as a Protestant a few years ago. I didn’t know that Audrey was a Catholic. I’ve recently learned she has fallen away from the faith. I find it hard to believe that even in her doubts that the Holy Spirit has abandoned her. Whatever the purpose for her journey is, I pray it be revealed and she come to a place where she is used as a vessel for healing. The sons of Adam and daughters of Eve desperately need those anointed in the gift of healing. Peace over Audrey.

In all honesty, I was very depressed this morning. I have been dealing with a lot of spiritual warfare for a very long time. The Lord reminded me of His truth through this beautiful song, though. He increased my desire for what is unseen by my eyes but so known by my heart. Thank You, precious, precious, Jesus.

My heart broke as I read Audrey's account of coming out as yet another apostate within the "christian music" industry. Jesus spoke truly, "if anyone would come after me, let him deny himself and take up his cross and follow me. For whoever wishes to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for my sake will find it. For what will it profit a man if he should gain the whole world, but forfeits his own soul?." Life is not about us, but all about Him.

I am blessed by the song and the concept of meditation on “faith and Christian vocation”. I would be privileged to infuse a notion into this particular mediation. As a child of The King and His Kingdom; as an Heir of and to the same; as an ambassador of and to the same regardless of my vocation my titles demand that I do all - live, work, eat and breath of and to the same Mighty King and His Kingdom. Janitor, politician, 5th grade teacher in a secular school, mother, ticket booth attendant - in all I do and in every place I place my foot I am the Kingdom. I live my faith. Love is the highest ethic of my King and His Kingdom. Truth in Love is the currency of my King and His Kingdom regardless of earthly vocation.
