I love how Chipp has to play the entirety of the Subspace Emissary in order to even get Pot to half health, meanwhile Pot can just look upwards and go "oh? you're at a 45-degree angle above me? well then TO THE HEAVENS, MY CHILD"
I've seen grapplers vs most other characters described as "Most character have to multiple relatively simple additions problems. Grapplers have to do a single long division problem."
Well to be fair Pot also has to defend against the massive string of "what the fuck is going on" that Chip is throwing at him and then try to find any opportunity that the Chip allows him to give, Potemkin can easily be combo'd by chip and doesn't have much space to interrupt him, but when he gets the chance he's basically an atomic bomb.
i play neither but the sheer amount of counters chipp needed out of that just to reset into a neutral that pot won had me disgusted lmao, like, i get it, pot can't poke out faster, but they definitely just made sure his two moves committed genocide to make up for it
Pot vs Chipp is one of those matchups that will make you sweat blood, because as Chipp, you KNOW that if you make a mistake you're instantly dead, while as Potemkin, you're calculating general relativity in your head to find the one dimension where you can get a chance to attack, and therefore win
It’s like trying to kill a fly wielding a knife. All you have to do is hit it a few times. I love the matchup because all I have to do is wait for him to mess up. Which is true for all pot matchups, but even more so for chipp
It reaches this point of singularity where the match-up is so even it loops back into itself and now neither and both characters have advantage and disadvantage
the hardest part as a potem main is not losing your cool despite being dribbled like a basket ball throughout 90% match, since all you need is that 10% to murder the chipp player.
I like memeing in fighting games, but by no means do I intentionally BM. Case in point: I am prone to doing harakiri as Yoshimitsu in T7. If I land it and I win, then I win. It just happens to be pretty funny when I do.
As a Chipp player, my favorite matches are with Pots. There are so many good Pot players in Strive. I also love doing risky shit knowing that at any point in time, I could die in two hits

This is probably the most intense match up in fighting game history; the guy completely outclassed in neutral and mobility vs the guy who can’t make a mistake. Both sides really gotta give it their all if they want to come close to winning and that’s why I always enjoy playing against chipp.
As a Potemkin main, I can just sense the tension in this match on both sides. It's both the most fun matchup and the most stressful matchup these two characters will have.
The chipp Potemkin matchup is my favorite to watch, and second favorite to play because of how the match unwinds. The Potemkin trying to force the Chipp into a defensive position and make them slip up, and Chipp trying to catch the Potemkin’s offense. It’s just a beautiful dance of busters and blades
As a Potemkin main this video is literally the definition of "I need to hit you three times" no matter the opponent. Until you meet another Potemkin online and then it's just a game of chicken
If chipp was more liberal with his meter he would have won. There were a few times where if he just rc'd a hit confirm he'd have enough damage to kill.
To be fair I’m pretty sure the chipp player is pretty new or doesn’t really know what he’s doing. He just kept using his rekka over and over and over again. Same with the potemkin though lol

chipp vs pot matchups will forever be my favorite thing to watch just because these characters are all the way on exact opposite sides of the spectrum. It doesn't matter who you're rooting for because it'll be an emotional rollercoaster either way
Im a pot main and i love this matchup, everytime for the whole round i feel like im getting completly destroyed and then at the end of the match i start landing a phew hits and i realise Oh... is already dead... When did that happened ?
Even better when you get the life lead with double decker PBs that's when you immediately get in their head for the possible triple decker PB and W sandwich or go for air grab
Once he got hit by that HPB. You know he felt fear. He doubt himself. He has no Armor-clad faith. Pot has armor-clad faith in his Potemkin Buster and Megafisto
when i started playing for the first time against my friends, the best player out of all of us was a pot main and when he saw i had chosen to be a chipp main the first words out of his mouth were "your the reason i drink as a pot main"
I swear all these Potemkin clips I've been having recommended to me are just waiting for the punchline (70% damage super) and it's somehow always funny
@@acquireTigris wow thats kinda lame, i never checked the frame data on it but it felt minus but thought it was maybe only barely plus and i was getting caught just bc of pots slow normals and mistiming, thats super dumb it should be plus on hit.
