I enjoy the yellow. That’s mostly because I enjoy contrast in my shots. Gives you more to look at. Picked up your Optical spot a few weeks ago. It’s one of my favorite pieces of studio gear. Works great on my Amaran 200 and FJ 400 lights.
I have one of those colour wheels! I even look at it once in a while. Only recently got some RGB lights, so will be using it more. Don’t have one of those optical snoots yet, but thinking about it. Thanks for the video, the model, and the elaborate makeup, which you significantly enhanced.
As a long time follower, I have used Color Effects sheet gels and placed them on a 200watts strobe. Problem I have is regardless of power settings for strobe, I am unable to have a saturated background or foreground when trying to bring color to smoke. I expose for the ambient and also am using a 300w strobe key light in a softbox. Thoughts? Suggestions?
I stumbled on this via FStoppers. As one who focuses on landscape photography, portraiture isn't particularly of interest to me. Nevertheless, this was well done and very interesting... I am glad that I took the time to view.
