Some people accept some changes better. For me to accept myself as I am is not an easy thing. I'm almost 70 and I know me. This to me is like sprouting wings and flying away. If I didn't have to participate all would be well.

Thank you SO MUCH this is SO GOOD!!! Wonderful reinforcement for me as I am learning this with God. There are some moments when I 2nd guess, thinking that because self-compassion or love is difficult or unnatural for me, I think it isn't the correct reaction to whatever I'm struggling with (as opposed to instead condemning/shaming myself to fix or shift.) Now I know that the answer is always going to be found in LOVE- not in self-anger, anxiety, and shame. Even though those are natural for me, I'm going to continue working with God on shifting my responses to my mistakes and difficulties to ones that bear His fruit- kind and loving responses instead of angry and self-abusing ones.

This is amazing. As a MFTC/LPCC I feel so much disapproval from the Church. There is such an overarching belief by a lot of believers that mental health is about sin and if you are “not ok” it’s because you are sinning and you basically just need to stop. It’s the worst thing you can do to someone struggling. Compassion first is exactly it! Thank you for putting it into one clearly explained video.

This helps me so much.😅 When I first came to Christ after the worst twenty year period in my life, I had a million questions. I couldn’t get them all answered quick enough, though God guiding me is what gave me the patience I needed. Though, I needed more then His Grace, His Great blessing, fellowship, and His Great Word, so I created a form which I still use ten years later. You stated, we need to find a simple “theme” and that’s exactly what I’ve been doing. I’ve found, that when I do this, with Prayer and meditating on His Word with random reading, it helps me greatly to get instruction from God. The best part is, when I read my prayer and read how the scriptures apply to my day to come. And wright down the things the Holy Spirt has said, I will always end up with my first step of the day, being in Jesus footsteps. Thank You Brother, you just confirmed to me, I’m heading in the right direction.

I feel like this word is for me. But also feel so beyond broken. I supressed so much emotions so intensly into my body with fear of feeling emotions. And all my muscles keeep bracing and wanting to squeeze but i cant anymore and I have so much anxiety about it. I dont know if I am too far gone. i operated this way for 10 years and feel at the end of how far my muscles can go.

"THIS WILL TAKE AS LONG AS IT TAKES." How do I know this will work? I'm the one that caused all the problems in my life and all this is left up to me to do. I have too many failures to in my life to think I can do all the right things now. I've been this way for more than 60 years. Having God just walk with me still means that I'm the one that has to make the changes. I'M THE PROBLEM!!!

This teaching is confirmation of what God has been showing me. I asked God to reveal what is the stronghold to fear and anxiety, and he showed me the scripture. If you fear you have not received my perfect love for fear has to do with torment and punishment, and he showed me that it was my wrong thinking and attitude towards him and the wrong thinking and attitude, I was taught by the church, he also told me to stop trying to fix stop the problem. Choose to have a good day just focus on my relationship with him. You are 100% right I wanted an instant now fix you hit the nail on the head were the foundation for what God has been trying to teach me And the Holy Spirit I love Joyce Meyers. She has an amazing kind, loving, gentle teachings on being obedient to God without drivenness, perfectionism or fear.

@@kshaw9179 I was baptized at age 7. I was raised by my grandmother, she made sure I went to church. During a Baptist revival friends of my grandmother talked me into going up during the call, they told me it would make her happy. By the time I became a teenager alcohol had become part of my life. Living life the way I did had made me more aware of God. I am extremely convinced that God is real, I know Jesus died for the world as the ultimate sacrifice and I'm included. I've read the Bible and prayed but I can't seem to keep it up. I found DeJesus while trying to understand what the heart is. That came because Jesus talked of loving God with all my heart. I don't know how to do this. The heart isn't something I can control or manipulate. I don't know what it is.

@@kshaw9179 I was baptized at age 7. By the time I was a teenager I found alcohol. I got into drugs before 18. I know God is real, I never went to jail for drugs and I didn't kill anyone while driving drunk. I found DeJesus while trying to understand the heart. Jesus spoke of loving God with all your heart. This I don't understand. I don't see the heart as something I can control or manipulate. Saying with all my heart makes sound like a tool, something I can hold. This I don't understand. I've been told I need to get from my head to my heart. I have read the Bible and prayed but I can't seem to keep it up.

But no one was there to see, but the path that denies God only leads to death, with God there is the promise of life with our Creator who loves us.... Pray for God to show you and open your heart day by day to receive spiritual understanding from Him. Adam ('adham) is one of several Hebrew words meaning "man," and usually designates man as a species. In Genesis i, 26-27 the word is used to designate the human species, including both male and female. Eve The name Eve (Hebrew hawwah) is given to the first woman in Genesis iii, 20. The name is explained in this verse by a popular etymology connected with the Hebrew word for "life."
