Even though he didn’t win I really think this match (and tournament overall) was a big breakthrough for Machac. He’s really on people’s radar now and hopefully this momentum will push him on to great things
I agree! Didn’t k ow who this guy was until I saw him during this match, hitting those incredible forehands and that insane approach shot flying through the air.
@@selfmadesuccess18Alcaraz is stronger than Sinner but unfortunately he is not consistent, it's a problem I don't understand, maybe mentally he is not like Sinner.
Well, let's wait and find out tomorrow. I got a feeling your comment will age like milk. Novak is motivated in this one and when he is motivated, it usually doesn't matter who you put in front of him. Age also doesn't seem to matter. Btw, what is Alcaraz doing, if not beating Sinner? Difference is that Sinner has a better mindset and a more solid game overall than Carlos(+ better serve). Alcaraz always thinks he has to play big, go for the winner in every point. Which is stupid and he commits too many stupid UEs! He has all the tools to mix up his strategies, when things don't go his way. Play a bit more conservative, go for longer rallies, force some errors from his opponents. He is more talented, more complete and versatile than Sinner, but Jannik is better at finding solutions to win games, when he is not playing his best. At least in 3-setters. Jannik knows he can win playing defence as much as offence and adapts better. Alcaraz is always trying to blow past his opponents with his aggressive tennis. Even though he has elite defensive capabilities. And when his high-risk shots don't find their marks, problems arise.
@@jay_kulinaI agree with you on alcaraz. Infact in the machac match, the only strategy he had was to crush and rush his opponent, approach the net and finish off the point. But machac was coming up with some clean winners and outrageous passing shots. Alcaraz didn't seem to have a plan B. Plus, he always tries to go big and ends up spraying a lot of UE. That's the reason he's inconsistent
@@premanandramesh8969 Exactly, mate! Just because he can produce winners from tough positions that other players can't (talent/skill), doesn't mean he has to try and do it every time. Roger(one of the most aggressive players ever and probably the best shotmaker ever) understood that and depending on his opponent, used his defensive skills as well to win matches. He could play more conservative tennis, when he needed and didn't let his wild instincts take over as much as Carlos does. Carlos has to fix that mental weakness as well as his serve. For me, his 1st serve sucks in terms of ball placement, despite having the power. He is too vulnerable in his service games. Of course, if he fixes all that, eventually he will get unbeatable, lol. I mean he has plenty of weaknesses and still is a 4 time GS champion. More than Rafa at that age.
Jannik is my real favorite and This Machac 😂man will be my next favourite. Machac : too fast, too fast, the rallies is too fast Jannik: what is it? Machac : you play too fast, the racket is broken Jannik: ahhhhh, sorry.
The difference between Sinner and Carlos is the tremendous mental strength Sinner has to keep his focus and composure. Unfortunately, Carlos let his disappointment get the best of him. Although Sinner do have weak moments too, he never let it get under his skin like Carlos does and that’s just the main difference between the pair of them really. Because in terms of talent, they are both equally great!.
Sometimes because of what athletes do, and the feats they perform, the statistics they produce, and the records they break, we forget that they’re still only human. Occasionally it seems that they’re not of this World, and are capable of feats of Heraclean strength and power. The things that top pro athletes are capable of never ceases to amaze me.
It was a delicate moment of the game for Machac, he was serving and the score was 0-15. If he did that also to reset a little bit, he's very smart about match management.
The moment that Jannik didn't understand the joke, so he came to see what was going on and even after Machač repeating his joke, Sinner still wasn't totally in understanding that Tomaš is joking and answered:" Ah Sorry" makes it so funny 🤣🤣. Imagine what Tomaš thought after it? Like"Damn he is even sorry for being too fast? What if he'll get mad for some reason and won't be so humble & sorry? He might kill me with a ball, cause of speed while flying and start burning in the air cause of the air friction!"
😂😂😂😂 Telling your opponent he plays too fast is so funny. The only way to beat that is to play with a heavy top spin that makes him unable to execute his plan or you outplay him with another dimension of speed 😂
