I've never liked the song, but Putri's spiced-up arrangement made me listen to the end, and then again. Celine's version is more technical. Never heard Jennifer Rush's - age thing.

The original version is always the best. That's how we appreciate music This is not a Celine song. This song belongs to Jennifer Rush, written by herself and released around 1983-1984, then covered by Air supply in 1985, and in 1987 Laura Branigan covered this song. It was only then that Celine appeared to record this song in 1984. For me personally, the best cover is Laura Branigen's version. Then followed by Putri Ariani's version, even though she didn't perform it at a big event and it wasn't recorded in a studio either

vocally, Celine did a better job(obviously), just because she naturally has a much powerful voice that suits this song(I mean, she's belting the hell out of this song, while putri has almost a fading voice). plus Celine's arrangement is million times harder to sing.

Haha yea same as u said, i listen to purple, Sabbath, 80’s metall ofc but never this sort of music. But now after age of 50 i do love this ☺️ Remember one time at a rock stage 87-88 or like that the live band ( hwo was rockers) start up with this song hehehe 🤭 and ppl around was start to dance 💃🏿 like they never dancing before 🤣 It was a practical joke by the band and it was a good laugh 😂

Im sorry man with all due respect but from a vocal perspective they are not even in the same league.. i dont want to diss putri at all because she has a great voice and bright future.. vocal technique mic technique the dynamics everything was like on a different level on celines side.. next to that celines voice exudes emotion.. that you might not like her tone thats fine everbody got different likes but.. blows my mind how you can even compare them haha

Celine Dion actually sang this as a cover. The original artist was Jennifer Rush who in my opinion can’t be rivalled in this particular song. Please check out the original version Thanks for the reaction. I’m not a huge Celine fan though I don’t deny her talent
