Wind was zero to 2mph and in the wrong direction. Those before me were not thinking about reaching a working face or flying close enough. From launch you can evaluate conditions and topography to work out where lift should be, launch and fly straight for it.
Because I like to see my wing before I run head first off a cliff over a road 😉 and yes the working cliff had an unofficial launch, pilots were there, however we were taken to the official launch by our guides.
Kudos! I too looove being first and it just works out, including the challenge. But I'd rather not watch 3 minibuses full of pilots cramped at that tiny rock. Where was that btw?
I didn't want to fly amongst 3 busses full of pilots. Further flying was done but I was on holiday in tenerife. I could fly as many times as I wanted, a beer on the beach with friends was calling.
Hi m8 is that las teresitas ? Tenerife? Think i did exactly same thing few years bk like 5 guys couldn't stay and i went right to the very end and stayed up for 2 hrs .
