Fr Isaac Mary Reylea on The power of the name of "Jesus". Do not use His name in vain or in common talk but use it in reverence & love. It is the most sacred name & do not use as blasphemy. Give honor to God & do not abuse it.
In 1274 the Council of Lyons commanded ALL to bow their head when hear the Holy Name of "Jesus".

I grew up a Jehovah's Witness and Jesus healed my hurt soul of PTSD from going to worship service. Thank God for Jesus and his visible holy and apostolic Catholic Church!

One thing I like most about the Sensus Fidelium preachers is that they all use pictures/galleries to illustrate their messages and pass them across. Their words and pictures coincide in a way that touches hearts of their audience members. As a visual person myself, I really love and enjoy their sermons. May God continue to bless and guide these Sacred Servants in their public ministry of saving souls. Amen

I cannot believe how common place the blasphemy of using The Lord s name as a curse word. I try and get some people to not use it but it is so I grained it is just a reflex habit now . Even my family. I have to have more courage and stand up for the Lord s Name. I have a Jerusalem cross and IHS tattooed on my wrist . So at least I will never forget the power and love of His name .

Honorable is the Name of the Lord. < I learned this fairly recently (past few years) and began by thinking it, but now I'm in the habit of saying it aloud or typing it in response to comments where I see our Lord's Holy Name misused. I don't get into a debate about it, but usually don't need to. It's important not to say it in a confrontational way, though -- just speak it as if thinking aloud. It hits home more forcefully that way. Even if my grown son's friends think I'm just a nutty church lady, they show me enough respect that they stop abusing His beautiful Name.

@@kimfleury that sounds like a great plan. I have recently like you been thinking things but have now started to say them out loud. My favourite is after someone says the Lord's name in vain is to quietly say Alleluia. That also stops them for s second. Last Christmas when I was at work ( I m a nurse) I said to people can we please not have blasphemy on his birthday and that got some acknowledgment. We just need to keep on supporting each other in thought, word, deed, and prayer.

Jesus is present in each and every one of us. So when we talk to each other in church we are talking to Christ within us. We are living tabernacles of Jesus after Holy Communion

Fr Ralyea is powerful in his sermons by condemning those: 1) disrespecting the name of Christ, 2) blaspheming God and His name 3) apostate from the teachings of the Catholic church . 4) blasphemy is a sin against the Holy Spirit.

One of my favorite videos on the channel. However, I wanted to call into question the quote at 5:11 he attributes to St. John Vianney. I cant seem to find it anywhere online, and Im thinking it was actually St. Vincent de Paul who said something similar. Anyone care to correct me?

People say "Oh, My God" when they are shocked by something. Is this wrong? It is usually an expression of horror at some terrible event or shock at seeing someone do something wrong. To me, it is equivalent to saying "God Help me!" but 1 person told me it was wrong to say "OMG". What do you think?

What do I do when a co-worker blasphemes the name of the Lord? Or a supervisor? I'm having trouble thinking of a way to persuade others not to blaspheme the Lord's name without causing animosity.

If they are not open to fraternal correction for this, simply praise God’s name in reparation for their sin. Say “Blessed be the name of God”. That will help.

'God help us' is a prayer. 'O my God' is not a prayer, as such. If 'O my God' escapes our lips let us continue on by saying 'please help us' (or them) as the case may be. So sad to see 'OMG' on emails, texts, etc.

I think the word Hollywood is a mockery of holy wood, the cross. 3 Hail Marys Father. I hope this doesn't apply to just thinking the name when angry, not saying it.

Was American wrong to enter WW2 ? Our Lady, at Fatima warned us of the errors of Russia, not Germany, hence Hitler also burned communist propaganda. Communism and God can not coexist together, just a thought.
