Dude, this band is & was so underrated, living in fear had like 7 badass, amazing tracks, when I heard the the passing of Tony Thompson & Robert Palmer, it was so unexpected, remember hearing some like it hot, at some dance when I was 10 years old, give or take some exceptions, that was one of the last amazing years for pop/ radio catered music, I miss those days :')
Robert told Tony Wilson that the first PS album was an accident, so the second had better pre production. They lost Bernard Edwards who came in for John Taylor. They were a great band, a classic supergroup. RIP Bernard, Robert and Tony.
okay, these great guys should have just performed a song or two and that's it! Robert looked delicious, as usual, but I didn't care for the interviewer's style. I'm sure it's just me though 😆 and thanks for posting this for us
I notice in this interview that not only did Robert Palmer put on weight but his voice has a rougher sound and it sounds like he has picked up a bit of an American accent too.
I watched an interview from 1985 just before this one, and the difference in his voice is obvious. The smoking took its toll. It's heartbreaking to hear the progression of his voice and his physical state and think of how he died. If only...
