I have remembered that curtain scene for years because he made it so funny! It could have been boring or over-the-top so easily, but he made it so interesting and hilarious! What a great actor.
Gosh, I've never heard of it nor did I ever see it. I was just watching a Frazier thing and they said David Hyde Pierce was on this show, so I looked it up. Must have been on a night I watched another show because, like I said, I've never heard of it nor have I seen it. Looks funny, though.
This was right before he became even more famous on Frasier. But I first saw him on this short lived sitcom. The way he looked with that cleft caught my attention.
Hyde Pierce always played this sort of character, where his women were all blue blood freaks who twist him around their fingers. Thank God for Daphne. !
Somehow this show is a lot like the late 70's/early 80's sitcom Soap, with a more political edge. Humorously failed suicide attempts were commonplase on that show too.
@@DJMichaelAngelo This show ended in early in 1993, and The Nanny started next season in late 1993. The pilot of The Nanny apparently uses the (former) set of Full House, while the rest of the series uses this set.
These scene kinda reminds me of Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei. I kinda love it, it morbid and funny. IRL though, i need the guy to be in a straight-jacket 24/7.
Here’s another lost gem--the industry will release absolute garbage series on dvd and streaming, and let something like “Powers That Be”, “The 5 Mrs. Buchanan’s” and most of the original “Murphy Brown” seasons, sit in limbo. Animals.
