i really have no idea what i'm trying to say but aj pays respect and homage to bluegrass and country music how she does it and mondernfies it i have no idea how she does it but i want to listen to her voice and fingerings forever to my grave
Great singer, great guitarist, great storyteller. Right up there with Joni Mitchell and Nanci Griffith. It's going to be nice to see all the great things to come from this amazing young lady.
A.J., I don't understand why the record producers are not falling all over themselves to get to You. You just keep on getting better, I don't see performers like You on the national shows. Hang in there , its just a matter of time. Love...

She is a wholesome Christian lady who doesn't use vulgarity, violence or sex in the songs she sings and often includes gospel and God in her lyrics. That right there is your answer! :/ Still, they can ignore her immense talent for only so long! ;)
Do record producers still exist, the landscape has changed dramatically since the internet. I am not sure how good talent capitalizes on their efforts. We consumers automatically expect to get this type of content for free these days. I think musicians need social media managers these days to lock in revenue.
I think the quality of AJ’s work is so high it will cut through and find it’s way. She doesn’t need to feel the pressure of the music industry. The music industry is misguided in so many many ways - and people are looking for something better. Something real and wholesome and truly musical. Something that is uplifting and authentically emotional. Not just massive key changes and vocal gymnastics and metronomic dominating drum beats! Stay on track AJ - you are the antidote to all that and people are starving for real heart music 💜

I have been listening to AJ for about 3 years now but I wasn't prepared for what I just heard here. This young lady is much more than I thought she is. I was already hooked on her voice singing the songs with the Tuttles and at Wind Gap. All I can say is WOW.
Glad I stumbled across this video of you AJ I been watching the videos with you and the tuttles and I was blown away with the song you sang Hickory Wind your voice is beautiful and the way you sing songs you make them your own and this video proves my point your an amazing Musician keep the videos coming

Some of these songs should be entered for the competition that Molly Tuttle won a couple of years back. Only hard to say which, coz they're all great. By the way, six songs from these sessions can be downloaded from AJ's website at a very good price.
I love this music. Your style, soulfull vocal, writing that has meaning, and your guitar playing. I pray you stay the same or grow on this road you are on and don't change with the wind and the ugly forces of entertainment like so many have!
AJ has such a wonderful voice, I wish I could get the whole world to hear and appreciate her the way I and her other faithful followers do. A naturally beautiful young lady with natural talent. Did AJ write Spirit of Arkansas? I cannot find any information about the song. But I consider it a masterpiece and a classic. Incredible melody and lyrics. On of the best songs ever written.

Awesome work by a brilliantly talented singer songwriter. Already bought the new CD at this writing and it's chocked full of great tunes that express stylistically what you are about. Your writing, on the other hand is incredible and unique.... I would put it in the same conversation as a young Neil Young or Glen Frey. Tremendous textures and lyrics. Would love to see you work with my friend/producer Tim Surrett of Crossroads Music/Mountainhome Music in Asheville, NC (Arden) . Other artists on the label are Doyle Lawson & Quicksilver, The Boxcars, Balsam Range, Flat Lonesome, etc. Great with acoustic production and vocals.
I totally enjoyed AJ and her singing and playing and I also love here telling how she goes about writing songs. I've always been interested in what the process of each song and what inspired it. First saw AJ with the Tuttle band and thought she was great. I'm also a great fan of Molly as well. Such great talent.
I wish Every Part Of Me was on the CD seems the pick of the crop to me.It's been hard for me to listen to A Song for Noah.the song not the CD.the subject matter is a little rough to listen to,and the Headlines today didn't make it easier.it's a good song but as someone who has lost a child even though she was 30 years old i just can't get all the way through that song.
wow just found this.. what a great singer (voice)...very good guitar work.. Is that a 1954 Martin 00018 or OM18? From the sound hole rosette, it looks like a 00018. It sounds old and sounds awesome, very dry. What flat pick & thickness are you using AJ and what strings and gauge on that session? My guess , you are using EJ16 strings.
Somebody is going to have to make up some new adjectives to describe this young womans voice and talent. The ones we have now just arent going to cut it.
