I have been watching Lucy Thomas every since the voice kids. She is one of the most amazing vocalists that I’ve ever heard even when she was very young, and with the addition of Martha her little sister and this particular song, I am lost for words just like the both of you were lost for words when the song ended.. absolutely stunning, Martha is sounding so much more matureThen when I first heard her. Lucy is teaching Martha how to sing and she’s teaching her very well. So we all know that she’s a superstar, (if you agree with me please give her a like)

I have to wonder if the recording of this song, because of the fantastic acoustics, was not sung in one of many century-old churches in England? Another unforgettable duo, Lucy & Martha...can’t get enough!

Thank you for another great reaction video... Amazing performance from the Thomas Sisters. Martha has found her voice. I suspect we'll be hearing a solo or two from Martha soon. She has had a great role model, her big sister Lucy. Both have grown in front of our eyes. Both have grown musically, physically, and professionally. Only the best wishes for both of them. Most are not aware how challenging it is to harmonize. Yet, the Thomas Sisters not only harmonize perfectly, they match pitch, volume, breathing, vibrato, and they do it with 1 microphone. There is no clever sound editing. It is as they are singing live for just us. Each and every duet from them is better than the last.

I thought I had heard the best but this is so far above any other version I have heard, it leaves you speechless. Just Wow! Spirtual moving feelings.

You need to listen to "She used to be Mine" when Lucy was only 14. It is beautiful and one of the most tender and soothing songs I have ever heard.

There so many singers can do songs very well, sometimes soothing, sometimes dramatic. Lucy is a singer that you can listen to over and over and never get enough. I could put any of her songs on continuous loop. Martha is almost there the same way.

There are so many incredible versions of this song - For the longest I personally thought the very best version was the Donnie McGlurkin - Yolanda Adams version but just for a pure pretty sound this version is most pleasing to the ear - ABSOLUTELY Beautiful - Martha has really developed into an incredible single and Lucy is simply my favorite singer alive

Mike and Ginger, another Lucy 'supporter' has mentioned this so I will as well: please react to Lucy's incredible masterpiece: "She Used to be Mine", which was done when Lucy was 14.......please ignore the age because we already know her vocals, even at this age, were already top notch and her vibrato is approaching world-class! Yes, we know this very well, but she takes the concept of 'empathy' to a whole new level...........extremely powerful, passionate, emotional, gut-wrenching performance here! Ginger, since you have shed a few tears in the past on seeing Lucy, get ready for some spare hankies on this one.......

It’s called a harmonic 5th.. a ghost tone… yep , they have it!!!

I can see in the future that Martha will be the voice ,she can go from higher to lower harmony with no effort whatsever .

You should listen to Lucy's cover of "Always Remember Us This Way" from "A Star is Born". I think it is her best rendition of any song she has done so far.

I also have to add I will always love you. I believe it is the best version every. Whitnay was flamboyant. Lucy has that and it is more musical. Expresses the emotion better.

Mike, you are correct in identifying 'something more' in their vocals. I noticed it in other songs Lucy has performed. I think it has to do with Harmonic Overtones. When certain pitches are sung along with certain notes played , instead of 1+1 = 2, it is more like 1+1 = 4. I first heard it in 'Memory' at 3:10 when Lucy is singing 'another day is dawning'. Distinct complex duel tones, Lucy's front vocal track on top of her background track, perfect harmonizing with herself. Then it goes on into big Crescendo and full forte until end. From that point on, you are completely captured by the emotion. Brain is trying to figure out what it is hearing. I have identified it in other songs as well. In 'Reflections' several places; 1:35 'someone I don't know' and 3:33 'I'm forced to hide'. There is some of that in most every song at different points. I'm not sure if it is intentional and tweaked in final edit, or it just happens. I read that not everyone can hear Harmonic Overtones, but I'm guessing most can. I shared this with the Facebook Fan Club to see if they too heard it. They did. I'm not sure the exact definition or application of the term, but both of us can't be crazy. We hear it loud and clear. You typically wear headphones, the effect would be more pronounced with them. In one of my comments to Lucy, I tried explaining this to her, also thanked her label for using it. I could dissect all of her songs, and do in a limited way. It's part of my Objective vs Subjective grading I apply. I would rather just listen and get carried away with the story she is telling with her music.

It not a contemporary song but if you want to hear the best torch singer ever in the 1950s, listen to Julie London's The More I see You or When I Fall in Love. She was magnificent. The ultimate roof top bar singer ever. There is no one better than Julie.

Hi Ginger, hi Mike. Do you know about Lucy's small secret? She is too shy to tell you that . Soon , she will be the main character of a new musical called :Rosie ( based on the life of Rosie Boote. You do not know who is Rosie Boote.?..look for it in the internet!). There are already 3 original songs, from the musical , available on her channel: Starlight Suddenly Gentle breeze I earded, that in July , august , few other songs from the musical will be released.
