Agree! Where are the direct injection hydrogen engine! These Mercedes dudes needs to get a reality check or we all are forced to buy Toyotas with hydrogen engines next time.
The attention for detail in this car is amazing, so smooth as all the motorized things work, those emergency seats and the glass panel, and the cup holder mechanism
LOL. The US President wouldn't be caught dead in that. Actually he probably would end up dead in that tin can. "The Beast" is a state of the art, bulletproof tank with all kinds of electronic protections and communications gear, but cost many millions to build. And best of all, it's a Cadillac - the standard of the world!
@@obliteratedcisco4709 nope this should be your always concern because it is bought with your money not them. The idiotic thoughts like this causing huge amount of corruption and money waste because the money should be used for people’s living standarts costs way more than personal expenses like this. Be aware of your money. President is no more than a worker like you. Nobody forced them to do the job they volunteered for it. It is not their right to live in luxury.
I really enjoyed this video. It's so nice to hear someone correctly pronounce "Maybach". I haven't seen another video on a Pullman model and I greatly appreciate your having made this one. Thanks!
It’s luxurious, yes. But, there is one little mistake: the front grill in the car information screen of the emergency seat is sadly not the same one as the car itself has. In this price class the Facelift has to be done in the software, too. 😉
No this is a "tender" vehicle. From your private jet airport to your point-of-interest and back. Like a fancy tender for your private yacht. You don't cross the Pacific with your tender, do you?
Beautiful Car - The Only complaint I have with the Pullman is the jump seats, they should mirror the nice back seats not detract from the interior. (Although it would require additional interior space, An XL version It should (at least) be offered as an option). The monitors in the seats can be moved to the divider as a single large screen that can be divided (software - if ness) into two individual screens.
This is not a criticism, but the extra (rear facing) rear seats are perfect the way they are. The car is really only made to transport one or two people in style/comfort. The rear facing seats are "emergency seats" (as the person in the video states). They are there for children or assistants. If a person needs to transport more people in style/comfort, I am sure they would have other options than the Pullman. The car is already super long. You can't really make it longer without significantly impacting handling/drivability. While it would fit in my garages, most will find it hard to put in their standard garages or even parking spaces. The Pullman is 6.5m in length (over 21 feet long) and standard garages have 20 feet depth external dimensions...18-19 feet internal. Even 4 car garages that are typically deeper have an internal depth of just 21-22 feet making for a very tight fit. The only thing that makes this car even more impressive is...the S-Guard option which gives the Pullman the highest grade of civilian armor plating available.
@@samshare2146 Thanks for the feedback. Looking at spec sheets and pics doesn't do things justice. I was thinking length/parking in terms of a warehouse, not a std garage (More 'Estate" Less 'City". As you point out it's for 2 passengers, (not Spouse, Sec. & Guard). Yes - Impressed with the S-Guard Package! (I'd still like the seats - but no 110" Stretch clown car - LOL - Ah, to have such worries... We'll work on the seats when I have the cash... LOL) 😀
@@samshare2146 I would think if you are importand enough to be driven around in this car the escorting police just closes down a line of the road for you to use as a parking space until you get back lol For storing, I don't know where the government puts their rolling stock but I guess they have people figure that out for them
The watch he is wearing is a Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Chronograph Frosted Gold Purple. It’s limited to 200 pieces and the cheapest I was able to find it was 180k usd. For comparison, same model with the blue dial also frosted is about 220k usd.
Protip: If you're going to be mostly on one side of the camera and mostly behind it while the camera moves with you, you don't need a stereo microphone, and you especially do not ever just upload the video with the off-kilter stereo.
"Normally when you sit at this place you don't have to..." @7:56 Exactly LOL. You sit on that rear seat you're basically set for life. People come to you for work, not the other way around. haha.
Well, year 2021 and we have UI Design from 2004 and a Phone/Remote thingy from 1999. I might be picky but come on that car costs probably 500k to 1m. You cant tell me someone sitting in the car is like oh yeah comfi seats. That will happen the first few times but then that stuff becomes passive enjoyment while the interactive Screens and stuff will be used frequently and dont look and feel modern but outdated.

Nice car. It was 1998 when I first heard the name "Maybach" used on a car as opposed to an aircraft engine when I was hired to manage the production of a industrial documentary on the first-gen mini-limousine, the Model 57. The German production company shipped a pre-production vehicle to Miami, Florida in order to shoot film against our gorgeous water views and puffy cumulus clouds. That damned car refused to work as planned. The entire trunk was taken up with a bunch of computers, terminals, test equipment and tools. It drive beautifully--when it started. We had to tow it using a low-boy trailer in several shots. We got to shut down the Rickenbacker Causeway in order to accomplish the aerial shots using a helicopter, and then using the police to escort that beast to make a U-turn. There was a complete platoon of technicians sent from Germany that were in charge of every detail: the leather guys, the wood paneling guys, the paint and exterior guys, the lighting guys, the engine guys, the electronics guys. There were almost as many guys who were sent to make that car work as there were people on the film crew. Fortunately, all of the footage that was shot was MOS--silent footage, no sound. I'm sure that the audio tracks would have been ruined by shouted expletives whenever some part would fail. Loved the way the light controls for the the roof, the champagne cooler and the footrests worked. It took another year for them to work out the kinks in this car.
