Welcome back collectors! In today's endeavor its a amalgamation of hunts from all over Tennessee and Georgia. Comics to Books! Channel Mentioned @AllSortsofWords Check me out on Insta! / nextgenerationcollector
I stopped collecting comics for...um...25 years? and when I got back into them that Daredevil series was one of the first things that I started reading - it's great! The cover artist is David Mack BTW :)
Thank you for that information! And looks like I’ll need to check into getting the trade/collected edition then. I was on key collector and went to the creator tab and it has Quesada as the Artist and Mack as the writer so that seems to be where my confusion was drawn from.
@@NextGenCollector Joe Quesada does most of the interior art and is also credited on some of the covers (maybe as an inker or colourist?) but that water-colour style art is definitely David Mack's 'signature' style. If you like art that's a little different like that, and if you're not already familiar with him, check out Bill Sienkiewicz. He also did some Daredevil stuff (with Frank Miller!). He did the original "Elektra: Assassin" limited series and a graphic novel called "Daredevil: Love and War". He's probably most well known for his run on the New Mutants (#18-#31, plus a few random issues after that). If you really want your mind blown, try to find the adaptation of Moby Dick he did for Classics Illustrated (also, while you're reading books, read the original Herman Meville novel!)...Sienkiewicz paints every panel and it's just stunningly beautiful artwork, done in a haunting kind of way that perfectly matches the story.
That intro was fire 😂🔥 You definitely do bring a lot of energy to your content as Dan mentioned above, keep reading your “book books” and keep that spidey collection growing! 👍
Thanks Bruce! I currently in the beginning stages of formulating a plan to grab a pretty insane Spidey book that I haven’t mentioned on the channel before. It’ll be interesting to go through it if I can pull it off…
I'm here for the random and the hodgepodge! If you EVER want to talk about books then I'm your guy. I've got a big ol' stack of comic book related reading you could tear through (books tangentially related to comic books, not necessarily books based on comic book characters). Your first livestream perhaps?
I may have to take you up on that offer of a “big ole” list of comic-esk books… and I am down for a livestream anytime - personally have no clue on how setting one up works though lol.
Daredevil Marvel Knights is one of THE BEST runs it starts with the Kevin Smith/ Joe Quesada 8 issue arc and then goes into the David Mack Echo run then goes straight into Brian Michael Bendis run!! Daredevil Marvel Knights is something that should NOT be missed man
@NextGenCollector ebay is probably your best bet the Kevin Smith one specifically can be tricky to find in the wild. The david Mack and Brian Michael Bendis stuff is pretty easily avalaible. Don't skip the Kevin Smith part though it's probably my favorite part
