What a comeback, you managed to beat rz bit by bit and eventually destroy his power and his mental. I guess Rz didn’t find his upper side core very valuable and only focused on building t4s. And surprisingly, although Rz produced zeniths first, you defended quite well with flares and figured out how to defend against fortresses. If Iwere you I would have just resigned when he destroyed your main core. But even though you were demoralized when he attacked you with zeniths you were very stable with eco and managed to counterattack. Overall well played and nice defense in general.
thank you very much! Like i said in the video, I was very tempted to give up too lol. but when I realized how many resources I had siting in the bank, I figured it would be a huge waste not to persevere. and I'm glad it paid off! I was lucky RZ neglected his other hexes. It was probably the only opening I had to take the win.
man this round was such a good round, lot of drama and back-and-forth tug-of-war gameplay I got a bit cocky after taking the early lead in eco and getting good eco harass which resulted in me losing out in the mid and end game Should have focused more on territory control and shouldn't have bothered with the vela schematic since my build order wasn't made to accommodate t4s Always nice to see the other player's perspective of the battle! Love your commentary
Thanks RZ! And yea it was a lot of fun! I'm glad you uploaded your side of it too. I truly almost gave up each time you took a hex. You're a really tough opponent to play against! I learned a lot :D
But ye, your first hex buildorder isn't perfect because u got no water spawn so u were afking for some time waiting for the graphite to come. A tip:don't make so much tita in such situations.
oh yea good tips!! like i've been saying for ages now, I'll just need a lot more practice to be more flexible in those less-than-ideal situations. The reason I go for a 2nd thor drill instead of watering the 1st is cuz I don't always have enough meta. In by build order i typically go for 2 thor drills, then make meta, and if i had to spend a lot routing water to the diffs, then I might be completely out.
u mean the first one? Cuz yea thats by design. Sometimes I use that for when im completely out of graphite, and I'd ideally put it next to water so i can just use a mechanical pump
@@asdzhmm4137 I saw that in the settings and all it does is make moving the camera smoother for cinematic shots and stuff. On PC, it still teleports your camera back to the core when your drone dies.
@@jaredthompson6213 "all it does is make moving the camera smoother for cinematic shots and stuff" Pressing the pan view button allows you to move your camera independently of your drone. I'm pretty sure this is exactly what free cam means. "On PC, it still teleports your camera back to the core when your drone dies." No it doesn't. On PC, if your last camera movement was made by Pan View, your drone dying does not move your camera to the core. Well, the pan view is how the free cam was done in this video. I don't know what else I can say.
@@asdzhmm4137Bruh have you even tested what you said. I tested it and it still teleports my camera back. I don't know if it's a different setting influencing my testing but when I test it, it does exactly what I said.
@jaredthompson6213 I did test it. When the last camera movement was made by moving the drone, the camera moved back to the core when the drone respawned. If the last camera movement before dying was made by using pan view, the camera didn't move back to the core when the drone respawned. I play on PC and that's what it does. edit: I just wanted to add that my comments might seem a bit argumentative, which wasn't my intention. I hope you have as much fun playing Mindustry as I do.
