You can't expect anyone to succeed when you play a deep defence, high press, and keep wide, exposing literally every single player when there's a turnover, and that's not mentioning the lack of rotation which leads to injuries and playing themselves out of form i.e. Bruno, Dalot, Shaw. Rodri and Van Dijk would look woeful too. It's all on the manager.
If only the full backs kept wide. Bt no, we keep just the inside forwards (who are not really wingers) high and wide, the full backs tuck! Its like Utd think they r so good they hv to handicap players as much as pos.
I thought he was fair here tbh. I wish I could say he was wrong about United. But the only thing he probably got wrong was that we'd only concede 1 sadly
Emery is miles better manager than Kompany, this was not a fair fight, the Villa vs Utd game will be very entertaining, what else can Ten Hag come up with as am excuse...feels like he just wants the payoff and bounce back to Holland at this point. There is nothing that can explain the spaces between players, great players turning in horror show performances and Onana just basically turning from top 5 european keeper into a guy who does not know how to judge an angle to stop a shot...its strange.
It seems that ten Hag had enough already and some of his decisions can't be explained otherwise, but getting fired rather than resigning makes, apparently, a difference of £16m to his bank account.
Get this now, those man utd players have downed tools. Casemiro, rashford, sancho and Antony especially have at some point in time between last season and this season been unprofessional in some games. Don’t be fooled by them raising their games sometimes. Yea they would choose which game they want to turn up for. And EtH indeed is a poor man manager. This is the first major problem he has. Especially with established players. I also think he’s frustrated now because he knows some players are not following his instructions. I know for a fact Casemiro was going against his manager’s instructions last season. Also, Bruno should not be starting all the games he starts. EtH has miss-profiled Eriksen for too long. That guy is the best and most level-headed creative attacking midfielder in that squad. Even at this age. Eriksen would ball out if he plays the role Bruno plays. Bruno should not be starting the villa game if EtH was sensible.
we 'didnt create a lot of chances' what a load of old tosh we had 1 disallowed and oli watkins was clean through twice without teh cheating full from their dodgy slow centre back
Please never bring Tim Spiers on to talk about Manchester United again. He is the epitome of overly negative about United. Love the pod, but he is just not enjoyable listen to or particularly insightful.
The most insufferable self important bellend ive ever had the missfortune of hearing on this pod. The guy looks like the definition of a basement troll
Wtf is this guy talking about .. Watkins was ineffective Tuesday ???? Firstly you got the day wrong and secondly he ran Bayerns defence ragged .. your opinion is worth ZERO.
13th for now defense is shaky for now first year with structure above him 6 new young players that need time to bed in learn the system and team mates. writing the season off 6 games in is actually pathetic you journalists and ficcle utd fans need to grow up rome wasnt built in a day and at the end of the day all 3 of our losses have come from player mistakes wether that be casameiro against livershit or rashford pussying out a challenge v tottenham etc speaking of rashford he got subbed off because although he scored both goals for porto came down his side he didnt make any effort to track back and help dalot whose a makeshift lb. Ten hag biggest criticism is his reluctance to drop bruno ( off form ) and silly subs that often come too late. Maguire said it best they need to believe in the tactics that gave them the lead in the first place and have some accountability as players for when it goes wrong.
There not that young they are full on international players ffs he has also worked with them before minus goal difference yet again no win in Europe in 10 games and now he has a better squad and much less inquires he's even worse stop backing someone who clearly won't change a single thing he could eaality change formation he could easily drop out of form players he doesn't needs more time my arse good players do not need to settle in they hit the ground running something united players won't do because they are terrible signings that's the fucking reality get a grip
And yet when he took rashford off the goal still came from that side everything g they did was down that side even with garnacho on your deluded as fuck
@@willtallis5275 yamal is a full on international ur gona tell me hes not young ? Almost all players need to settle into new clubs new environments new management and new countrys thats part of human nature. As ive already said my criticism of ten hag comes from not dropping out of form players and making silly subs hes not perfect ( no manager is ) but as a club we are cooking we as a fan base just have to ride it out until the meal is ready. Youre comment eludes to a ten hag out stance please enlighten me on which manager could come in and do better that we could realistically get ? Managers that play park the bus and counter attacking football will not be accepted just like utd fans couldnt accept it with mouriniho ole and van gaal. My personal opinion is that this is the true year one under ten hag with new management new structure and ulitimately a team he has mostly choosen for himself he and the players need time to work out the finer details to make it work just like arteta did and just like klopp did
Jaysus three interchangeable receding middle aged white men w glasses (thk god levanthal isnt beardy) pontificating on Man Utd. Remind me why we need to listen to Spiers on Utd?
who tf are these guys anyways get some people on who actually played the sport at some point in their lives these nerdy journos who never even played football have such a snide and annoying point of view
Both Fernendes cards were only yellows, this is just weird that a player can make a yellow card challenge twice and people who watch the replay Agree with the refs mistake TWICE...unbelievable incompetece in two different competitions. Other teams fans wont care until it happens to their captain, it obvious something weird is going on with refs. People even said...well UTD were poor anyway...what the f does that have to do with absolutely horrible ref decisions, its not connected in any way.
