City are the exception - getting 90+ pts consistently every year is a tough job. It's a shame Arsenal likely falls short again after the season the team had
I think both can be expected to move but Olise's health is kind of a concern. Dude's built like a twig. If Dougie Freedman leaves is the real concern for Palace long term though
Our best chance of climbing the league, is getting good people in the important jobs . We've made a start with getting Steidten . We need to get Sullivan out of the operating structure as much as possible, until hopefully he leaves . Money isn't everything, we need to be much smarter & more efficient, off the pitch .
Eze is skillful and tricky on the ball. I’m not saying he is on the same level, but he can do skill moves, just like Ronaldinho, Neymar, Figo, Mahrez or Hleb could do skill moves. What amazing about Eze is that he can also be a playmaking wide player at the same time, similar to BernardoSilva, Foden, ColePalmer or DavidSilva. Again, I’m not saying he is on the same level, but he can be that type of player. Martinelli and Saka need space to run into. Against a low block, they lack Ronaldinho/Neymar magic to dribble through tight spaces. And I don’t think they are Spanish enough to be a wide playmaker. The fact that Eze could do both, with good decision making, strength, pace and defensive contribution, is extremely incredible.
I agree, but I also think he can be wasteful/too unserious for the top teams. Im not sure if its something that can be 'coached' since I think he is just enjoying himself but I think that stops him from being on a top team
This whole prem season has been about inconsistency - for every club. NUFC have the best excuse in that they are a good way ahead of the rest when it comes to days lost to key players through injury. Bearing in mind the majority of the squad, and also most stating players are pre-take over bargain basement buys by le grand Michelle. As for tonight’s match - It’s got draw written all over it so a seven goal thriller it’ll be.
This is a clown podcast. Though suffering as a Barcelona fan, I watch this analysis of Man U and ask myself. Are we watching same football? They talk of Rashford begging good. No way, Radhford is been trash all season. Tell me one big game he had this season.
United's best choice for a winning manager, "Pep" Lijnders, has just started negotiations with RB Salzburg. He knows the league, knows the CL, has won the league and UCL, speaks english (and Dutch too like Ten Hag). He plays like Klopp and has 'Pep' in his name. Lastly, and more importantly, he is currently working in the UK so work permit shouldn't be an issue too.
@@theathleticfcpodcastclips only my boss, girlfriend, 8 months old daughter and for some reason the neighbour can tell me what to do!! But I’ll check the clips 😀
George is wrong again. It’s not a success to get Europa conference from this position. It just isn’t. Nor will the players see it as progress going from CL to conference as he suggests. No, to attract and retain the players we need it has to be Europa. Otherwise it’s a failure from this position where it’s in our hands.
One of the best podcasts out there. The hosts are really well-spoken and they know what they're talking about, in contrast to some of those clowns we see everyday on TV or youtube.
The Athletic were scathing of the new owners when they took control. This correspondent said there would be an asterix against everything positive thing Newcastle achieved. Now we have things like this video. Sportwashing in action.
Is the constant coverage of Newcastle while largely ignoring Champions League qualifying Villa by football sites down to Newcastle having an English manager?
As long as Pep is around no one will ever win that trophy & Arsenal’s process would be not tolerated at a bigger club… it’s a cute and noble thing but trophies matter more in the end.
I have been in St James’s this season 4 times, Aston Villa🎉Chelsea🎉West Ham🎉and Luton😮…..we can’t blame injuries as Villa have been hit hard and look at them…we have been massively inconsistent and left it very late to get some away form and if tomorrow goes pear shaped then I fear for the summer….it is a straight shoot oot between the 2 UTDs😂
