I actually teared up watching the preview. They are finally shaking things up and breathing true life into the game for the first time in years. I'm excited about it.
One of the things for harpoon gun/ one weapon fighting i think they should look at, (dunno if this is currently in place as it usually doesn't come up) but Rare should block enemy players from using the armory on your ship, so that they don't just run around and slip away to the armory for a quick swap and now they are a full-fledged fighting pirate again, just something to think as a possible balance idea
The double barrel flintlock sounds really good in double gun loadouts. Assuming that each shot does 30-40 damage, each is enough to finish off a player after an eye of reach hit. That means, you get three shots rather than two to kill, so either a free miss every now and then without having to reload, or a leftover bullet for another target.
I hope the horn is pretty rare. I am not looking forward to having to get one of those every single session. 1:10:25 Hard agree. No more QOL seasons. They should be apart of the monthly updates not saved up until there’s no content to released. I for one like new systems, but I do not like how Rare supports their systems, or lack there of. Captaincy’s dead, guilds were dead on arrivals, HG seemingly abandoned, no more adventures (or mysteries?). What was the point of adding all these systems over the last 2 years to then forget about them. S14 is the only disappointing season. It’s such a niche part of the game to update. Why not focus on a season that updates old features. They did a tools season; they did a world event season. That’s what I was really expecting, something like hunters call, quest board, trade routes, sunken kingdom, or other old features that no one uses.
double flintlock one in each hand would be really sick, especially if you could do a rotate swing trick to reload them and fire both at the same time again. it would make the combat feel so clean man
Dual weapon for hanging and climbing with axes and claws for skins would be sick (pre podcast listen comment see you in 2h) Give me the shipwrights hammer to bust stuff masts (one plank at a time) holes(small one hole) wheels (one plank) Give me magic weapon and monsters! Gl out there!
Yeah, an axe (or something) to pull off planks has been something we've been speculating about since the first year. Might be hard to balance but I want it! 😊🏴☠
