During the Bob Barker version of "TPiR", "Dig We Must" was played as an end theme after the second Showcase Showdown, but was also played whenever a contestant scored a combined total of $1.00 on the Big Wheel. The latter half of the "Come On Down!" theme was played after the first Showcase Showdown ended. Now, a remixed version of "Dig We Must" is played throughout Drew Carey's Showcase Showdown, which is just OK...nothing spectacular. Come back, Bob Barker, we miss you!
This music cue for the end of the Showcase Showdown actually replaced the TPIR Main Theme sometime between September/October 1976 and January 1977. I believe, from the classic TPIR episodes I've seen on GSN each Saturday afternoons during late 1999/early 2000, it occurred around the 1976-77 season, not 1979.
When the Winning Family won the FAST MONEY BONUS ROUND on the First Three Seasons of "FAMILY FEUD" 1976-1979 (First Two on the Syndicated Version 1977-1979)
I don't miss Bob Barker on TPIR @ all, but Drew Carey is doin' his own thing, but also, I like Tom Kennedy as my favorite TPIR host despite it being only 1 season, but to me, Janice Pennington and the other Models before Season 29 made TPIR If I were to have host TPIR, it would be Ric Flair or Hugh Laurie from House and Flair's Models would be Torrie Wilson, Candice Michelle and either Maria or Lilian Garcia and Hugh's Models of course would be Lisa Edelstein (Dr. Lisa Cuddy), Jennifer Morrison (Dr. Allison Cameron) and Olivia Wilde (Dr. Thirteen) But for a Female Host, I would pick Stacy Keibler and the models would be Daisy Fuentes, Gabrielle Reece and Rebecca Romijn
