The Price of Beauty | Candlekeep Mysteries DM Guide 

Just wanted to say that your overviews of Candlekeep have been a huge help with me getting back into DMimg after taking such a long break due to the pandemic. Thank you, I really appreciate it.

I subbed this out for the abbey of St Markovia in CoS and my players had the absolute best time. a glimmer of hope in a desolate land, the medusa was subbed out for the abbot and the hags were the original hags they ran away from (they lost the bonemill fight). it made sense as the mongrel folk wanted changes and to be beautiful, i even had otto jump in with them and become beautiful again

As always, love your commentary, advice, and maps. As a new DM with a love of storytelling but massive anxiety about "doing it wrong", your videos and discord channel is huge. Thank you, thank you!

Thank you so much for this guide! My run of this went really well. During the fight with the Medusa one of the characters got petrified. The team retreated to regroup and then discovered that the Medusa was Sylverie. It was an awesome moment because I let the player with the petrified PC take over Sylverie as she helped in the final battle with the hags. Now they just have to find someone with a greater restoration spell to save the guy still stuck in the basement haha!

One of the potential random spa guests is a Purple Dragon knight, so as a little easter egg, I made them Valor, the tiefling Purple Dragon knight/bounty hunter the PCs questioned back in Mazfroth's Mighty Digressions. After dealing with that mess (and being forced to do chores as punishment for providing a fake book), it's no wonder she'd need a spa day!
