Theres 3d animation in the movie tho. 3d isnt a recent thing its been developed for a while. The difference is the recent TYPE of 3d animation is more obvious and is whats popular rn but its slowly changing and evolving to masterpieces like spiderverse and puss in boots. The 3d is actually a combo of 2d and 3d as the 3d is mainly used for the backgrounds if you look close enough at particular scenes you can catch them!
@@soysource3218 Maybe i am just having a nostalgic feeling but as a 2D/3D animator myself, i think 3D elements in a major 2D setting can look good, when it's done right but i never saw a full 3D movie, were i went wow (unless it was a realistic short clip) When it comes to games it's different, since you as a player are meant to interact with the world, so therefore 3D is not bad. Another big factor is how things are animated, there can be bad 2D and bad 3D animation.
The Old Testament is always filled with so many epic stories that just two about Joseph and Moses wouldn't be enough Samson and the Two Pillars, David and Goliath, even Solomon's Wisdom are all great titles we could have gotten to see on the big screen, but I guess they set the bar so high that they couldn't simply "make" a sequel at that point Still, huge W for animation on that parting of the sea scene
What about the part where Moses called for the complete genocide of all the Midianites, including women and children, and taking the virgin female children only as concubines? Book of numbers. Epic story right? Make a movie about it?
@@dnajournal4321 Bro, you don't know how desperate the Israelites were at the time, and yes, there are times they have failed God, even Moses himself, but in the end what is done is done, we can only look back and be better Also, why do you think making movies on sensitive topics are bad? Not like there hasn't been anything like it before, and the morals of the protagonist would always be a bit muddy at times from a certain perspective, especially when dealing with historical events
@ItsChevnotJeff 2020 the Germans where pretty desperate and starving by the millions after WW1. Taking wheelbarrows of cash to buy a loaf of bread. So many died in the 1930s. It doesn't excuse their genocide attempts in the 1940s during WW2. Moses, according to Numbers, was successful in wiping out the Midanites. They don't exist anymore and their historical remnants are hard to find. Imagine being angry at your generals for not killing women and children. They should put that into the Prince of Egypt 2.
@@dnajournal4321 look man I think the Old Testament is fucked up and it boggles my mind that people either ignore how bad it is or justify it But don’t bring that here. This is a great movie regardless.
@@froggi001 they are all the same. many names in many languages, but still the same one ture god. muhammad (saw), is just an other prophet like jesus (as) or moses (as). there is a reason why they are all called abrahamic religions, because they all pray to the same god, the God of Abraham (as), God of mankind.
You don’t have to be religious to enjoy these ancient stories. Some stories from the Old Testament were copied directly from Mesopotamian folklore. They’re not owned by a single religion.
@@glossygloss472 Copied directly is a stretch at best and blatant misrepresentation at worst. Stories being similar in various broad strokes do not make them copied directly.
@@LordVader1094You see, that would fly if they were on two opposite ends of the world. The Jews are literally near easterners, they heavily intermingled with Mesopotamians. They went into exile in Babylon. To think there was no dissemination of stories, religious practices, etc. is just not accurate. Although I agree, it’s disingenuous to say they are straight up copied. I think they took these stories, which were commonly believed in the near east, and interpreted them through their own monotheistic lens.
Truly a movie doing justice to the epic stories in the Bible. Aesthetically spectacular with a fantastic soundtrack and immaculate characters. It deserves much more attention.
*This* is how you do a religious movie, you play with the tones and themes while keeping the spirit of the story. Not a 3hr, artistically poor sermon with no substance other than god is great and you *HAVE* to worship him
@@juliancalero8012Ese es el problema de muchas de las películas basadas en la biblia, que aunque estén basadas en ella, por alguna razón los directores deciden omitir partes que realmente son épicas.
I just fucking LOVE how well they did scale. That pillar of fire really stretches up to the heavens. They didn't do cartoonishly small walls of water when he parted the sea, they splayed them out to the sky. Just fucking.. wow.
This is a great video, it helped me motivation to be disciplined and encourages me to read the Bible more often instead of like spending times in games or something, it somehow also helped me develop fear to the Lord. I thank God and God bless you to who is reading this.
@@MaximusAugustusOrthodox yeah and because there is a interconnection between us no doubt whom you think is a God we respect him as a mighty prophet but not God ❣️
this film is just beautiful and should be immortalized and the opening of the red sea fits so well with the part of the music everything is so beautiful masterful
As a Muslim, we have a similar story where Moses did free his people and did split the red sea by two and was actually put in a casket in a river by his mother who put her trust in god and was promised to see him once and more and she did. Seeing this its insane how close both of our interpertations of this story is. I pretty much got along with many christians and them being Arab like me is even better as we talk, play football and study together in school I respect you guys you have honour and respect taught to you by your religion and you give to charity just like us. I am not here to debate anyone to so dont go to the reply section insulting or demeaning lets be respectful also I adore your values they are very similar to ours.
Because it is literally the same story. It's the same in Judaism, Christianity and Islam. Because those three are Abrahamic religions. They believe in Abraham, and the promise of God to Abraham
You are right. We have the same source but what differ all of us was Jesus Christ. We Christians believe that he is our *Lord and Savior* while Muslims believe he's a prophet/messenger of God aaaand Judaism teaches that he is neither of them(prophet and God) That's the point where we all separate. But despite differences We all believe in one God who let Moses split the sea. The God who created Adam and Eve.
My brother don't because you want to tolerate other religions but your own religious beliefs you cross the boundaries, If you learn apologetics you will realize how far our theology/beliefs are different from theirs, *saying that christ was not crucified as atonement for sin, not believing in christ as the word of God who descended and became human is called the antichrist in the bible,* we can tolerate other religions but when it comes to religion, the right faith/theology must take precedence! @@kerhabplays
I'm not religious, but damn. To imagine that humanity has lived with these stories and gained hope from them is so beautiful. And the thought that all this slavery was abundant is so scary
Absolutely phenomenal edit !! . Perfectly encapsulates the scale and quality of this forgot relic in animation. Hope more people watch this movie as it's Soo gud!
its interesting how this has become a song "for" christianity, I mean when you think of this song, or at least when I do, I think of christianity due to the amount of edits used with this song
Before I watched this, I've seen very beautiful screenshots of it, but when I actually watched this, I was blown away at ... Well, everything. It's an amazing movie
This video convinced me to watch the movie. I didn't get a chance to see it when I was a kid, but it looks like it's better to see it when you're grown up.
Mısır'ın çok görkemli bir tarihi var , cidden saygı duyulur bir kültüre sahip bir ırk. Tüm Mısır halkını seviyorum daha önceden beraber yaşardık , hepinizin yeni yılını kutluyorum.
Recent animations, despite all their tech and advancements, can NEVER capture the essence of storytelling that this style of animation did......I'm heartbroken that we've lost this.
this movie illustrates how amazing the stories of the bible truly are, and how great the power of God is. watching this movie fully shows the audience how great the story of moses was compared to just reading it. perfect example of when the movie does better than the book
I'm not a man of faith in any way, but this is still one of the greatest films I've ever seen Edit: can you guys stop trying to convert me it isn't going to work and it's not gonna happen Edit 2: seriously guys, whether you're athiest, agnostic, or religious, TRULY no one cares. Shoving it down people's throats does the opposite of what you want it to do. Leave me alone lmao
In the 90s divers found the remains of an entire army of Egyptian soldiers and chariots on full armor in marching positions at the bottom Of the Red Sea. There were no ships around them. Meaning an Egyptian army was in the middle of the Red Sea. Just like the Bible said.
Movies that have the same emotional impact can be made again if the suits are forced out of the creative process and artists can do their craft without worrying that their movie isn't safe enough to get funding from one of the 3 massive studios if they want anything to go mainstream
