The Prince of Egypt - The Making Of (Part 2 of 3) 

That scene where Moses was hugged by pharaoh was terrifying. “Oh, Moses, *they were only slaves*.”

Everyone collaborated and poured their hearts and efforts out for this film and it shows. It still remains my favorite animated film. Sorry Frozen :)

I like that they documented the "Making Of" while the movie was in production. At one point someone says, "I'm currently working on..." so they can get the crew/actor's real feelings about the film.

If someone tells me that animated movies are only for kids, I’ll show him/her this. The amount of work behind every single scene to achieve such a magnificent masterpiece is impressive. It’s like a sequence of paintings coming to live, I miss 2D animation for this reason.

What makes the movie version of When You Believe, is the Hebrew section. It really puts the background and culture into the movie.

dream works never disappoints! I wish they still made animations like this.

Am I the only one who prefers the movie version of "When you believe" and not the Mariah Carey/Whitney Houston version?

Yeah, the children's singing is so innocent, for lack of better description. It's just so beautifully done. Oh, and the drawing of Moses at 3:30 is so beautiful.

The Hebrew section of "When You Believe" touches my heart so much because you just kind of get the feel of these innocent children leaving something atrcious that they don't udnerstand and omfgSSDBGIPO I WAS SO CLOSE TO NOT DROWNING IN THE EMOTIONZ

This movie came out the year I was born, 1998. I remember my grandmother buying me the VHS version of this movie when I was 5 years old. That was the year I was diagnosed with Cystic Fibrosis and when I was in the hospital for a long time, The Prince of Egypt was all I would watch. That and the lion king.

I love how Steve Martin has a stick all the time and how Short has a cape. I love Hotep and Hoy and I adore Martin and Short. ''MY NEW THING--- OOOHH...''

I think I'm gonna cry because Talent... and my dream job is being an animator And I'm atheist, and this is one of my fave movies, along with the miniseries Jesus of nazareth from the 70s

Even in 2017, the animation in this movie still takes my breath away.

Astounding to see the amount of work they put into it.. No wonder the movie is so amazing, perhaps the best film DreamWorks ever made.

When Whitney Houston could still sing, when Val Kilmer still had his own voice. Stunning visuals. Wonderful songs. I'm glad I saw it on the big screen.

Makes you wonder if animation is appreciated as much as it deserves.

“All I Ever Wanted” is just so beautiful, I can’t explain it but it gives me chills every time

To me this is what kind of animation movies are really good quality and pure gold. Not the new 3D animation movies and totally not the 3D animation TV show. These I love and really appreciate. And the music is so phenomenal. It make me shiver, cry, happy, horrified etc.

although I think Mariah Carey and Whitney Houston can both sing amazing, their version of When you believe just ruins the song. for me It's meant to be pure, hopefull and from the heart instead of sounding like a contest of fancy edlips

The voice of Batman, the voice of Catwoman, the voice of Voldemort, the voice of Miss Congeniality, the voice of Dr. Ian Malcolm, the voice of Professor X, the voice of Jennifer Lawrence of 60s and 70s, the voice of Detective Roger Murtaugh, the voice of Inspector Jacques Clouseau, the voice of Jack Porter and again the voice of Batman 👌👍.

I think that this story is so great and I love that it's a bible story.

This film is a gift from God.

The duet of "When You Believe" is absolutely breath-taking. It gives me chills and brings tears to my eyes.

The effort they did for this movie is immaculate

I think that Dreamworks puts out more quality films anymore than Disney. They have a more realistic quality to their films than the latter.

The artistry used to make this movie is amazing....I love the movie and I love the music but the colors and the overall look is amazing!

the part where the animators were talking about how they translated some of themselves into the character they're responsible for animating. especially with the queen's animator

2021 and it's still the best animated movie I've watched. From the soundtrack to the animation.... amazing.

This movie has aged good from an artistic and musical standpoint. Beautiful animated films are tough to find this day and age. As much as I love CGI

I remember seeing this film in the theater it was breathtaking to see on the big screen. The music just totally moved you.

When I saw this movie for the first time when I was six/seven, I was mind-blown that this movie (which was at my grandparents' house on VHS) was made by Dreamworks, because the only movies that I knew Dreamworks was capable of making were "Shrek," "Madagascar," and "Over the Hedge, so I was intrigued when I saw it since I hadn't known Dreamworks could do a film with such amazing hand-drawn animation and a movie that was more serious but still enjoyable. And to me, Tzipporah was the most beautiful non-Disney animated heroine that I had ever seen. And it's interesting that Val Kilmer is in this movie because in the movie "Willow" (where he plays Madmartigan), in the mid-beginning of the movie, the midwife puts baby Elora Danan on a raft down a river to save her life, like Yocheved does for Moses. Coincidence, I think not!

The guy at 7:46 looks like he's right out of the film, I don't know why, I guess he just has the look.

The music is beautiful someone needs to adapt it for the stage, it would be amazing!

Without all the side blows to Disney I would have liked the Making of More. I get it, Dreamworks is not Disney. They're equally as good. Everything is fine! But The Prince of Egypt is still one of my favourite films :)

One time I was watching this on live tv and the credits began to roll. I was with my older sister and all of a sudden she says to me “Voldemort did the voice of Rameses!” And then I had to go and look it up and sure enough she was right. Completely mind blown 🤯
