i just finished my degree in marketing and i have a job interview next week with a big cosmetic distributor. I knew a lot more about B2C than B2B and these videos have been really helpful. thank you so much!

When the title says B2B marketing. Pls refrain from giving examples of B2C marketing. Companies like Taco bell, Geico insurance, McDonalds are not the perfect examples to learn principles of B2B marketing.

B2B marketing is historically terrible though and, more importantly, not memorable. For instance, can you rattle off a few B2B examples that touch on the principles that are being highlighted here? You probably can’t, which means most others can’t either.

I could not disagree with this comment more. In fact, more B2B companies should use b2c principles when doing out-market activities. Remember, we want our ads to be memorable. That matters for any type of company.

Awesomely refreshing content! Regarding the rational vs emotional advertising discussion, one thing missed out on is how emotional advertising disappears when lower level execs(when they are the ad viewers) have to communicate value to multiple stakeholders, i.e. rational msging is required in this case. emotional advertising works better for top level decision makers.

I couldn't agree more! This webinar was fantastic, and the slides were incredibly well-prepared. I learned so much from it. In my experience, many marketers tend to rely on standard practices without investigating the underlying data or reasons behind them, particularly in B2B marketing. This can lead to missed opportunities for improving their strategies and ultimately driving more leads and sales. What's more, I find that many marketers don't always consider the critical relationships between marketing, sales, and the products they're promoting. By working closely with all stakeholders and maintaining open lines of communication, marketers can better align their strategies and ultimately drive better results for their clients.

"Mental Availability" = "Brand Recall" It is a pet peeve of mine when people try to come up with new "technical" terms for concepts that already exist.

I think the technical term “Mental Availability” was designed for use in literature and application because it’s more descriptive than “Brand Recall”. Brand Recall is a relationship between a product, service or product category and the recall of a brand. This is a binary relationship and does not measure a brands positioning in an actual buyer situation. Mental Availability adds the context of a buying situation along with a quantifiable scale for “how available” a brand is rather than a purely binary relationship.
