@@GourmetJobSim misstype but Japan studio got turned into team asobi: they made bloodborne ( with from soft ), helped team ico, were behind gravity rush, freedom wars, ape escape, several other big PlayStation classics en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Japan_Studio
@GourmetJobSim The most distinguished and accolade rich studio in all of The Asias🤣🤣 Hope that USAStudio is doing well in The West. Heard they were having trouble keeping their big IPs like star tars and Marville relevant💀
The thing with Games vs Movies. Games can actively and clearly iterate on their core premise and ideas and be better. Because they are driven by game design and control. Where as movies are plot driven and you can't just say for movies. Same but more. But with videogames, people EXPLICITLY want, same but more. Success in a videogame sequel is different than success in a movie sequel.
A huge reason for this is people loved playing these games. A new sequel, or a remaster, gives them the chance to experience playing the game again. Movies are different because they're not interactive in the same way a game is.
Video games have the generational upgrade every so often where graphical fidelity and gameplay improve substantially. If we love the franchise enough, we'd like to see the story continued when they can upgrade those things. With movies, I believe it's the same. When a good story is told, you want to see more. But the frequency you experience sequel movies that don't live up to the original generates a lot more fatigue. Then there are game franchises like COD and Assassin's Creed(?) that dgaf
Hearing sly cooper being brought up is such a thrill that game is underrated as hell and ended off on a damn cliffhanger really wish we got a proper ending
@@gokaisilver3801 the second one sure. The first,3rd,and 4th one have some flaws that can be fleshed out if remade or remastered. ESPECIALLY the 4th one, lol.
Love the series but I'm happy with its end point. As much as a new game would probably be fun, I think it would be better to have a spiritual sequal with similar gameplay rather than a continuation of the story.
@@scubapenquieno666 I don't remember but it was part of the very first stream with the line-up of all the games that'll come out with the PS5. I was in the gravity rush discord at the time and we were all watching it live, it was so brief that people went back and straight up checked the number of frames that kat was on the screen.
Me hearing Cole: I remember those days. Back when I first saw the game at a target with my mom. It was simpler times. It was better times. Now whenever I hear his name or see his face I remember a hero who sacrificed it all to give humanity a chance to survive, to become better than it was.
"Thats a FromSoft thing they'be been working on enough" Oh no you dont! Miyazaki himself said he was frustrated you werent letting him do anything with the IP, Sony!
Exactly what I was here to say, if Sony ever addresses Bloodborne and use FromSoft as their excuse as to why they haven’t touched it then I’m drop kick their CEO off a ledge, may be rot with the priests.
A new villain who is NOT a carbon copy of Specter, along with more Metal Gear connections and both old and new gadgets perhaps? Yeah, I think a new game would COOK 🔥
I'm playing it for the first time right now. It's actually still really solid. Almost done disc 2. Literally playing it because of Astro Bot. Already ripped through Shadow of the Colossus again too.
I forgot how great it was it was one of my favorite games growing up it's on PS plus I started playing it again a couple weeks ago and it is still so fucking good
@@MrKotorX that and the fact that the music took most of the budget. There are over 500 panted still image backgrounds and there are unique musical scores for each one.
@Riku_Sarashiki true, but I'm a bit scared of the possibility of it being bad. Maybe a really good remaster would keep the nostalgic feeling. A rebuild from the ground up with added mechs or levels even
Been 20 years and I still play that shit religiously. Never even knew there were secret bosses until the last 5 years. XD I thought were legit required bosses.
I literally shouted "LEGEND OF DRAGOON MENTIONED, LET'S FUCKIN' GO" at the top of my lungs in the middle of a parking lot. Strangely, like four other people also shouted "EYOOO", so it looks like we're all with you on this one.
@@moonshiners-cv6kd say what u will about Redfall but at least it didn't fail 2 weeks after launch and was mostly just meh instead of DEI trash in an oversaturated genre. U also could play it entirely for free with game pass where as u had to pay $40 to play concord
The legend on dragoon reference got me. T_T i love that game. It's so good and deserves a remaster/ remake. Something to bring it forward to the modern day gaming.
@Trikean if you have a ps4/5, it's on the Playstation store. And it's never crashed for me when running it like this I beyond recommend playing DC2. It's a direct upgrade of 1 in every way possible.
The only game I was able to play on my psp. I am underlining able to, I was a stupid little kid, I always came last but I had fun. Seeing it return will be a delight.
I remember playing on the psp, and I couldn't for the life of my younger self, beat the cloud area where you zipline into the difference castles (it's been years I can't remember the level exactly)
Honestly, those series had their days in the limelight. I do not mind letting the old, concluded stories ride off into the sunset. It's nice that they aren't forgotten, and that their legacy isn't tarnished.
I’m still hoping they bring back the og Ratchet and Clank games from PS2! Those games were my jam growing up! And I’m not talking about that streaming thing they have on PS5 that doesn’t really work, remaster these games!
@@TheBallazanoh it was but then that sold out and then they wouldn't make them anymore, they figured they'd make more money by separating the games then doing a bundle with some of the top three in one collection
Pretty sure fromsoft admitted that they would like to do a remake or sequel with bloodborne, and they mentioned it was a Sony issue, so what do you have to say for yourself now Playstation
I wouldn't be too surprised if Astro Bot was sent to test the waters, whether ppl actually want those games, or it's just nostalgia talking. As much as I love games for games sake, suits still need some incentive.
I remember watching my Dad play 'The legend of dragoon' about 20 years ago. I always thought that game looked really cool. And the fact that we haven't even seen anything from that series since then is a shame.
@@CainDB I can’t figure out how to emulate tho. I’m dumb asf and only got melee to work and I couldn’t play it because I didn’t have a compatible controller
@kai_s.hazaki289 I mean, they were a bit vague about it. Infamous 2 ended with that lightning bolt shaped like a question mark. And Zeke was vague about it, too, in Second Son. If they wanted to bring Cole back, I'm sure they could spin a story that makes sense. Like him being in a state of hibernation, slowly recharging or something.
@@mayoactual2065 If they wanted to bring Cole back, they could create any number of ways to hand wave the jacket, but I'd be cool with infamous coming back with a new protag again.
I mean Cole had an ending to his story. So I can kind of see why they haven't done anything with him in a while. Although I did really like Infamous Second Son. That was a good game.😊
I would say that in case of THE VIDEO, is actually pretty easy to balance. Just don't characters of old games as cameos in new games if you don't plan on making nothing new of their franchise. Is just teasing the fans over nothing.
Funny enough, i think Mario is the living proof that You can do both. I mean, every Game is a platform Game, but at the same time everyone feels unique
@@ignacioperez5479 I don't think that's a proper comparison. Its less about making new games for old franchises but more like how companies have forgotten old good games and just use them for cameos. Kinda like how we haven't gotten a new Starfox game in years but we keep getting a Very New Super Special Mario Bros ZX Wii U Switchy addition lol
Yeah absolutely. And a lot of the devs of those franchises have expressed no interest in returning to those franchises. Naughty Dog thought about Jak 4, Sucker Punch has said they don't have plans for Infamous/Sly, etc. Gamers really have a hard time letting things end.
@@damianm2896 then again we have guys like Miyazaki who want to not only port bloodborne to PC and Xbox, but also just literally do anything with the franchise. But no, Sony would rather do a concord or another last of us port than give a shit about franchises that people actually like that they sit on all day
i personally blame the devs for attacking their own audience for daring to speak up on what can be improved, which arguably started the downfall they dont deserve our support if they get easily threatened like that
Seeing LoD on here melts my heart a little. Game had awesome music and it was pretty fun. Maybe one day Sony will acknowledge their old IPs and give them a remake. DeS got one, so there's some small hope 🙏
@@triplezeroxz5875With or without Cole. A new protag wouldn't be bad if done right. On top of a new powers system. It would be fun to mess around and use different powers like builds
Being a jak and daxter fan is like being a guy who is now locked in the basement of his favourite restaurant, and every now and then they will come down and say to him "we really wish we could give you some more of that food you want" before giving you some fancy shit rhat wasnt made with the intention to be delicious, just meaningful.
I must say I had all Sly Cooper games back in PS2 when I was a pre-teen to young teen and I loved those games. I’m almost 30 playing Astro Bot now and when I found the Sly cameo I was like “OHH SLYYY!” and then my mood changed in less than a second with all the nostalgia hitting me… I shed a few tears just looking at him wave back while in the controller😅.
