He very much only operates on two different levels. "I'm going to win this game" or "This is a conversation I can contribute to, time to abandon my motor skills".
@@IstasPumaNevada There's certainly a lot less pressure and fear of judgment (so long as you act respectfully). For personal reasons, I have trouble interacting with people I actually like, especially men, so parasocial relationships help take the edge off.
@@montyhollings1558 Oh, don't feel bad! Parasocial relationships are totally normal and nothing new. In fact, some experts consider them healthy since it shows that a person still has a desire to interact with and socialize with others instead of withdrawing from society. The important thing is having boundaries and acting with some common sense. I used to be really weird and cringe over Smith, but learning more about WHY I felt that way helped me understand myself and change my behavior accordingly.
You guys are basically the only content I watch on YT anymore... I know the algo isn't rewarding you but this stranger's appreciation will have to suffice.
Kublai Khan wasn't the next khan after Genghis, He was the fifth great Khan of (what was sort of) the Mongol empire although it was massively divided up and confusing after Mongke (the fourth great khan) died. Kublai was also Genghis Khan's Grandson
G direction is also important, you can stay conscious for much longer in certain positions and orientations which is one reason why astronauts sit but flat on their backs when launched.
Going up in a rocket is only about 3g (comparable to a rollercoaster). Fighter pilots deal with high g´s not so much from accelerating but changing direction at high speeds. And if your rocket changes direction while going up, high g´s are the least of your worries :)
@Fun With Minerals He always has facial hair to some degree, but that doesn't make your face look less fat. It can hide it a little, but again, Smith's always had facial hair to some degree.
The G suit really only gives you about 2 Gs of protection the anti-strain maneuver (hick maneuver) is what really keeps you conscious in those high G situations
As an ex-navy Harrier maintainer and engineer. We had 3 different checks, Before Flight, Turn around, and After Flight servicing. The turn around is done between flights and takes less than 30 minutes. The BF and AF servicing is where the major checks are done.
A company plane crashed over Louisiana swamps a while back the company changed the name to allegant to distance from the incident and hasn't changed how they maintaine their planes
re: accents 8:00 The non-rhotic English accent didn't develop until after colonizing the Americas. So if anything, Brits of the time would sound more American than the other way around.
Time it took the hat bois to say something gross: 28 seconds. This is a NEW RECORD, down from 30 seconds. The average time currently is: 2 minutes and 14 seconds. I will do this on every video as long as my smooth brain doesn't forget. There was no comment on the last video as they didn't say anything gross, which would screw over the averages.
Isn't the American accent closer to the original British accent than the current British one? So when the Brits first went over to the Americas, they most likely sounded like Americans sound now, since it's said that the American accent is influenced by the old British elites. Since it's said that Americans mostly kept the original accent while the actual accent in the UK changed a lot over the years.
The current British accent didn't develop until the 1800s, and even then it was mainly among the upper classes as a sign of status. Prior to that, Brits sounded a lot closer to what Americans sound like now. So it's less that we lost our accents and more that the British changed theirs. Kinda like soccer. The British literally came up with the word soccer. But when it started getting more popular and mainstream in America the British started calling it football. The British are the ultimate hipsters.
This is not true at all by the way and is a very simplified view of history. Rhoticity in accents has shifted back and forth between the USA and UK, hundreds of years taking or dropping parts of pronunciation depending on your class background or geographical location. As time progressed and civil war shifted the centers of weatlth away from areas with cultural connections to the old colonial and British elite that presitge assoitated with the accent faded away. As with Soccer its was the British that came up with the nickname as well as "Rugger" for Rugby in the late 1800's but as the sport trickled down to the lower classes it just became quickly know as just "Football" It was never a reaction to American usage.
@@danherbert8144 I agree it's an oversimplification, but that doesn't make it entirely untrue. There are "Original Prununciation" versions of Shakespeare plays that American actors have an easier time with than British actors because Elizabethan is closer to General American English than it is to British Recieved Pronunciation. www.bbc.com/culture/article/20180207-how-americans-preserved-british-english
@@danherbert8144 Also, "Since 1980 the usage of the word 'soccer' has declined in British publications, and where it is used, it usually refers to an American context. This decline seems to be a reaction against the increased usage in the US which seems to be associated with the highpoint of the NASL around 1980." www.businessinsider.com/why-americans-call-it-soccer-2014-6
