Keep in mind the kids helping are still kids. The parents are watching these videos. Likely they are pushing the kids to behave badly. The ones that get the most are the ones pushing the kids. Something you could do if you really want to stop double dipping is get a stamp like they use at events. The kind that doesn't wash off and basically has to wear off. Something like a smiley henna face. That's a quick way to do it. When I did this with an organization I got them to create a list. Only the people on the list got something. It's orderly and no reason to push because they aren't getting anything until their name is called. Not on the list they can be added for the next time. Lets you plan. I used to do this with shoes. Get the name, size, and just buy that. Extra kids show up...I put them on the list for next time. Sometimes I just randomly gave things out as well but I usually had three helpers to control the crowd. There are lots of ways to make things more orderly but is that really fun? It's more fun to watch the confusion but I always liked to make sure every kid got something. First few times I had kids crying as I was driving away because they didn't get anything. I couldn't handle that so I had to come up with a solution.
Marie always seems happy to help and put the effort in where needed. I know others have voiced issues with Danat, but personally I think it is still a bit of language barrier and maybe her feeling like there is a lot of pressure on her trying to translate end of the day she is still a kid.
maybe start a supply chain of school supplies. if you still expect to be doing this style in 6 months you may as well stock up on supplies that they can't get locally. Cash is good but soon to be questionable on how its' used. great job!
Troy maybe you should give out the stuff and have someone film you. No hate I love what you do for these kids but it gets disorganized and I think theres a language barrier still.

The PROBLEM with Danat is that she is not helping to organise the children into one or two straight rows but instead smiling away with a camera capturing the event and enjoying on the confusion. Quite sad that she received the most gifts and not helping Troy.😞
I did speak to her about it in a later video. Not sure if it made any impression though. The kids seem good (Danat for instance has a good work ethic I think) but I suspect maybe their mother is a bad influence. She encourages them to go in and get stuff for the family when I'm doing the group giveaways which adds to the chaos when they could be helping me control things and get their reward later. Pani is also honest by nature (she refused the money when Kim gave it to her the 2nd time saying she had already received it) but there was a time last campaign when her family pushed her back in after she lost a rock paper scissors game to cheat the system. I remember Pani also gave me back a mango one time when I asked so I could give it to another kid and her family chastised her.

@@troycambo Pani is such a good kid. I noticed her generous behavior as well. She seems very selfless. I also noticed Danat's mood has changed a lot since her earlier videos after she received that cell phone. Like when you first showed up this time, she was staring straight at the Tuk Tuk waiting to see what was inside instead of greeting you. I guess it's a sign of the times, but maybe she's also tired of the pressure her family puts on her when you are around. Either way, I can't blame them. I would be doing anything I could to get as much as I could if I was in their situation. I'm glad you and the donors still help them out.
think giving out money is too complicated alot of kids miss out best way is bulk food or clothes money for families better idea the adults are bit rude asking for money when its for kids only, and to make them stand in a line ,10,000 riel not go far maybe troy you can find second hand clothing to cut cost down or they not have in cambodia?

The donors are doing the Lord's work their efforts should be applauded. But there's smth I don't get. Often I see these videos and they give these infants and toddlers raw cash in hand. Is it that they don't trust their caretakers to manage the donation for the kids or what is the plan? Because obviously the kids can't take care of themselves they might even play around and misplace the note altogether. Maybe its not for me to understand others would say we should look a gift horse in its mouth or however it is said but you can't deny it do raise a lot of questions but I guess the recipients are not complaining 😅
