I found that Bible college is very cliquish. If you don't fit the cookie cutter mold i.e. church royalty (pastors/ church leaders kid or friends thereof) then a lot of bullying and dirty looks. I found it to be very superficial. It was heart breaking. They actually had a class that was about how to maintain power as a leader in a church. All about schematics over faith, doctrine over hope, and business over the love for Jesus and the lost. Sad!!! I been to secular college as well and felt much more welcomed even though secular college is notorious for being hostile towards Christians.

I’ve definitely noticed the self-help and the motivation. The entire chapel sermon series last semester was basically saying “love each other because God loves you” in different ways. And ofc thats important, but there’s so many more topics that need to be stressed.

As a Student at Colorado Christian University, I think they have done a great job avoiding the problems you have discussed. They genuinely care about your relationship with Christ, but they do not make students who are not Christian feel pressured to be Christian either. All they ask is that you respect the beliefs. My education at Colorado Christian University has been amazing.

It’s been hard to navigate colleges and know what Christ wants for me because the schools that are considered the most Christian seem more lukewarm. I’ve come to realize no matter where I go there will still be secular pressures to not be All for Jesus. I want to study Psychology in a biblical context as well as Theology so I can be a biblical counselor.
@emilygrace5579

Wow what a great goal! A Christian school will still be good, but you’re right, there’s always going to be secular pressure. It will be so important to find a solid group of Christians who love Jesus and want to encourage eachother in whatever school you go to

2 years later, I’m in the same boat as you. What did you end up deciding? I want to pursue pastoral ministry, with an emphasis in counseling, but I’m in the military so my options are kind of limited, as I’d need to go online. I want to go to a bible believing school that hasn’t been compromised by the secular ideologies polluting the church and education system today, but those options seem to be dwindling every day…

AMEN!!! We are from Boston, and I randomly typed Christian colleges and you popped up and I don't regret it! I love that you are bringing this to light. Im in the middle of checking out solid Christian colleges for my son who graduates next year. Although we left church over a year ago because many things were crumbling apart I still want my son to join a faith based college anywhere in the USA as now it's the time to have a list to submit applications. Thank you for sharing your heart here.

Thank you for this video!! I’m a junior in high school and looking at colleges. I have been loving christian college because of the faith filled programs to study and my desire to have solid Christian friends. I’ve realized though, the more I look into all these “Christian colleges” the more confused I get on what I want.

Of course, the reason behind the lack of Gospel preaching in "christian" colleges is the assumption that the students are already Christian/"born again". But we are still coming out of the age of "1, 2, 3 repeat-after-me" conversions. What does it mean to be a Christian? We don't ask such things and really get down to the heart of the matter: the heart!
@emilygrace5579

One thing I don’t love about our school is the forced chapel count. It doesn’t encourage everyone to follow God, it makes some people who may not be Christian exhausted and they’ll see anything “church” as a boring, forced event that exists to check off a box.
@emilygrace5579
@emilygrace5579 3 года назад
Also true. And its tough to find a balance of encouraging Christians to live out their faith (by going to worship services or prayer meetings) and not forcing others to do all the "christian things", ya know?

This is an incredible video. I’ve always wondered if these colleges are more of a walk in the park than being a genuine Christian in a typical college. It actually isn’t. Genuine Christians who lay their entire selves to Christ always stand out in the crowd, no matter where. They are always able to uplift and inspire, no matter where.

I totally agree with you when it comes to Christian colleges and I was going to go to a seven day Adventist private college in Lincoln Nebraska but at that time it wasn’t about Christianity I just saw a class that caught my eye and on top of that I feel like if I go there I don’t want to be forced or looked at differently because I’m not a seven day Adventist or because I’m not a vegan… and I saw a musical class where you can get your music degree and become a tutor and on top of that I’ve been playing cello for seven years that’s why one of their classes caught my eye

They're involved with Military Officers who were BRIBED by the Nazis at the World Bank in 75 . According to the laws of our country ,then the police have a paycheck that is a Bribe . It depends on the (conflicts of interest), and usually their involved . The military industrial complexes the worst of them all and the enemy of the entire working class ! Legally they would be(Iinfluence peddling, and buying favors) instead of the police with their abusive powers used out of context to steal resources ! Living by a Christian college can be the worst thing that ever happened to a person ,with these criminals stealing resources, and committing extortion ! All of them are doing something only Fascist criminals would do, that destroys lives, jobs, and habitats with Fascism ! And even turns into mass murder ,doing what Nazis traditionally do with Nazis ideology ! One thing they needed was Denaziacation ! Criminals who do these things should never get away with calling that a college !

I'm a Chinese student preparing to apply for a Christain college next year(that's how i came to watch your videos haha). So I just want to ask if you could give me any advice on schools to apply to? also, im really interested in which university did u go to and what courses did u take. (I really want to study education so that i could become a teacher who could influence kids or youths as a Christain) Hope u could reply me~ really need some help with this! and thx for your videos! rly like them!

So I’m a senior in high school and I’ve got scholarships to a bunch of different schools for athletes. mostly being small private colleges. One I’m looking at right now i really like everything about it but there one catch. It’s a Christian school and I’m not really Christian my parents grew up Christian but like we don’t got to church very often maybe like 4 times a year mostly for like Easter and Christmas and stuff like that. My question is do u think it would be a bad idea for me to go there since I’m not “really” Christian?
@emilygrace5579
@emilygrace5579 3 года назад
Personally, I don’t think it’s a bad idea as long as you are comfortable telling people that you’re not a Christian. Sometimes there is pressure to pretend to be a Christian at a Christian school, but there are many non-Christians at Christian schools

I think the biggest mistake I made in life was to go to a religiously-affiliated (Christian) college. I mean I am a Hindu, and honestly I believe that we were raised differently, where I come from happens to be a liberal environment and we don’t shove our beliefs and opinions down everyone’s throat, second of all we don’t condemn others for not being a part of something. The college I went to had a different marketing scheme and was very different over emails and phone calls, but when I arrived it was a whole different scene altogether, filled with fanatics basically and the students were weird af because they were in their bubble and didn’t want to be normal friends. Therefore, Christian colleges should take Christians only and not anyone who isn’t “Christian”, they should try being less greedy when it comes to money! I mean so much for being Christian I guess, although I am not Christian, I don’t think that’s written in the Bible, if it is then I really don’t have anything to say apart from knowing something super obvious 😅.

Make a video on CFNI dallas, Texas. I agreed with you totally. People taught in Christian colleges make people lukewarm Christian. The truth is today christian doesn’t compare securism and Christianity ✝️ they messed up with both. They read there bible but aren’t follow gospel Principles. In America 🇺🇸 they have free to preach anywhere but in India and middle east you know what you will be Prosecuted because of your beliefs system and still we preach Gospel to everyone. The main reason why Americans Christian becoming lukewarm because of “LUST” all over in social media cling with it which making them stay far away from Jesus.

I’ve been thinking of maybe trying to go to school before I get any older. hmm what college do you go to? because sorry, not all "christian" colleges are like that. Yours sounds like it has progressive tendencies which pretty much disqualifies them from even being called "christian" in my mind. A christian college should by definition be emphasizing the gospel and being born again, and YES there are some fairly good true christian colleges out there so please do not generalize. I watch my daughter's college chapel services on youtube since they stream them, and I can tell you, that place is pretty solidly christian overall and the gospel message is preached in depth not just lovey dovey shallow stuff.
