I'm surprised you didn't edit in Occupy on this reupload, as its a perfect example the problem of peaceful protests being used in the modern day era and no violence occurring, but the media goes out of its way to portray the movement as representative of its worst elements/examples.

It is also a great example of a peaceful movement being violently disbanded. I remember watching the live footage as the occupiers sang songs of solidarity while armed police officers corralled them into a circle. Young adults were trying to keep the children and older folks in the middle as the police beat them, grabbed those who stumbled and threw them into the police horde, and shot them at point-blank range. This happened simultaneously at multiple locations in the dead of night. It was horrible. It changed my view of my country forever.
Reminds me of the way these “outbreaks” of crimes going on in nyc. It’s kinda the same narrative going on: there’s just so much crime going we absolutely *need* more police spending, more police, more violence. I’m so sick of it all.
So true! The police… make more violence? I could see an argument that more police funding means less for other services such as healthcare and affordable housing, which, in the long run, could decrease crime but you are simply operating under some bizarre logic here. It’s not a zero sum game, there is money to go around and more taxes against the wealthy to be levied for more services. Accepting the budget as it is is capitulating to the rich that we cannot tax them more.

People need to watch this, rewatch this, and memorize this information. People need to drill these points into the heads of their friends and family, because when civil unrest inevitably pops off again as the contradictions of capitalism continue to be laid bare, these same tactics will be used again. The playbook hasn't changed since the 60s because the material conditions haven't changed either. We are stuck in a cycle of movements coalescing and then being either co-opted or annihilated and only inoculation against those tactics and revolutionary organzing strategies can break that cycle.
The Red Scare, The Yellow Peril, the Cold War mentality is still sadly alive and well to this very day in the West and most of all - the USA of course. It's saddening to me. It's absolutely abhorrent to me.

What is more likely than either of those scenarios is the world getting glassed in a nuclear war because any party to a war that large in the modern day would rather go M.A.D. than lose. Some of the best advice I received about this feeling was, "When you get overwhelmed, remember to keep your head down, and keep doing your work." Also I highly recommend looking up another channel that gives me a lot of hope. Check out Sophie from Mars Her speech at the trans rights protest in August 2021 helped me believe that solidarity across oppressed groups and resistance against media narratives of the powerful are stronger than I thought.
Thanks for making this freely available to everyone this needs to be shared. Sometimes I wonder if climate change wasn't an issue it would just be a matter of time or if we need some completely unessisary devistation to kick the world into gear. This is the most based video on RU-vid. I’m subbing to your channel just because of this, and this is the first video I’ve ever seen from this channel.
Hey this video made me think about a situation involving the RU-vidr Anxiety War. He went to a blm protest in Grand Rapids with a pistol in his pocket and baited a confrontation in front of the bankruptcy court building. Luckily he shot into the air and no one died but no one is talking about why he felt the need to insert himself into that situation as he has been vocally reactionary. Anyways great video as always keep up the good work comrade! ✊
I think it's important to remember that with Kyle Rittenhouse, he himself isn't the problem. Kyle, who was 17 when he shot three people who stupidly tried to take his rifle away, isn't the enemy here, it is the people and the systems they are responsible for creating (and maintaining) that's the real enemy. Kyle lacked a reliable father figure (his real father is said to be an alcoholic) so he latched onto the police and emergency services as a replacement masculine role model. Looking back through what we know of his child hood, there were many opportunities to steer him toward a more productive path in life. But now he shot three people, got acquitted, and is being paraded around as the latest show monkey for right-wing US media. He's barely 20 years old for fucks sake! All that attention he wanted as a child he has now, and thousands across the country are watching this and being spoon-fed the same message; "go out of your way to stop 'radicals' and you'll be rewarded for it."

So I don't have any personal knowledge about the George Floyd protests since I'm not from the US That said, I feel like the ACTUAL outside protesters are made out to be way more ominous than they really are, I mean a lot of the time people show up because they're invited by locals. Idk if that happened in this case in particular, but I know it happens where I live. I've been on both sides of that, both inviting people and being invited. It's not that sinister, it's just solidarity. Not to say there have never been outsiders joining in for malicious or misguided reasons, and I mean I have heard that there are problems with white people trying to take over or push their own agendas on black or other minority groups, but overall if outsiders join in, I think it's more likely that they're there because they genuinely just wanted to help, or were in fact invited to join by locals.
True, and even if there are outsiders who fit all that criteria, it’s fucked up how the people protesting and their beliefs are somehow the ones to blame and therefore they’re bad, please stop staring at the capitalists behind the curtain. Police CHOOSE to cause violence, uphold oppression, and kill people, and they CHOOSE to cause more of that when people are rightfully upset and angry. They can always own up to what they did, or try to, but it’s always easier to uphold a harmful system that benefits them at the cost of other people.
The George Floyd snuff film should still be available uncut and unedited on RU-vid. The cop who murdered him was found guilty at trial though, so at least there’s that.
Not an anarchist, but I'm pretty sure they are opposed to hierarchy, not organization. Some probably are, but many make it a point that they still want organization just without hierarchy.

Now hang on Kay, I want to say something about those last statements. Kyle Rittenhouse travelled to Kenosha with a group in order to help mitigate the damage that was inevitably going to be caused during the protest. While trying to control a fire at a gas station he was confronted by man who threatened him then attacked him, so Kyle shot in self-defence, Kyle was then attacked by another man whom he subsequently shot in self-defence. I believe this video just frames the situation wrongly, Kyle seemingly did not go to Kenosha with the intent of violently suppressing the protest. I don't mind if people would like to disprove my perspective of events if they feel I don't have the right picture, I'd appreciate sources. Now as for why he would even go there? He was part of a militia, it is a civil right for citizens to form and join militias in most states. Now I've searched a bit but I can't unravel how legal it is to form a militia in Illinois then travel to Kenosha, I will also state that I respect if people disagree with the notion of taking up arms in defence of anywhere that isn't in, well, closer proximity to you if you feel it would just lead to needless violence. All that said, I still agree that all the publicity that followed was certainly in service of repression of protests and the interests of the bloody government, but I do feel that Kyle may just be at worst a pawn in over his head rather than some terrorist who wanted to shoot some BLM demonstrators. It's still tragic though, all this violence, I hope all is well in the end, stay safe everyone.
The Kyle rittenhouse take out the end was very glossed over and u didn’t take the full story into subject to just say he killed 2 people for no other reason than he showed up to protect property, and killed 2 people is misleading in itself I agree with just about every other point in the video

Just putting a marker here, before I've finished the video to say that I noticed antisemitic tropes in most of this "agitator" rhetoric during the protests. It's not the most obvious example of antisemitic logic, but irs2the same mental mechanism underneath. Anyway, I'm just curious if Kay will go into this. You might wonder why I don't just finish the video and see. Well, it's mostly because I figured an extra comment will still boost it in the algorithm. I'll be back with some thoughts when I am finished.
Okay, the antisemitic angle was not there. But the connection to stochastic terror was well done. If anyone wants to knoa what I was thinking about, I suggest the Contrapoints video from way back about recognizing fascists. The beginning of it has a section that explains that Jews exist in Nazi mythology to explain away their failure thus far to achieve dominance. She had a more in depth discussion before, but I don't recall which of her adxhived videos it was in. I would also suggest looking up old fliers by the KKK warning "good n*****s to stay away from communists trying to lead them astray with notions like civil rights." Both anticommunism and antisemitism have long been two sides of the same coin to conspiratorially explain away difficult truths, like "Some whites aren't Nazis," or "women want rights all of a sudden."
I am interested to see how this compares/contrasts with the protests happening currently here in Canada. Those involve argue freedom from vaccine mandates but those opposed are accusing the leaders of ties to white supremacy organizations. Either Ottowa is fine but getting a wake up call or it is being locked down in a hostile occupation. It is hard to be living through this where so many people I know have widely varying views on it. Plus it feels different since it is a protest organized by white people.
time and time again I always learn the same thing from all of this. The problem is always the people running the system, not the actual system itself. The actual idea of police itself isn't racist, the policemen were. Capitalism would work great if everybody was nice. Socialism would work great if everybody was nice. Even complete dictatorships would work if the dictator was nice. Anarchy would be a perfect system if everyone was nice. The problem with all of it? A lot of people aren't nice. And that's the issue with every system.
Capitalism is inherently exploitive, so there's no way to make it nice. Policing in the US literally grew from slave-catching, how tf do you reform that?
