Im 47 and still dont have my life together. My entire life is cringe. I have no interest, motivation or reason to change or improve. I can watch videos like this all day and then take a nap and forget it all. If there is a higher piwer, put me out of my misery
i think there is always an interest,im28 year old so almkst 20year younger, but i had no interest from 14 to 27,wasted all my early days untill this year when i woke up
Me too. 34, after so many years of failure and no give, I'm apathetic, cynical, nihilistic, antisocial, and a coward. Immune to betterment at his point
@frozentspark2105 hey I have the same problem as you but what helpt me is WALKING it made my brain, body and mood better but start small 15min then go up,the best benefits is 1h a day but I couldn't do that at the start
I am 28 and I Just realized what a massive effort it will Take to get Out of my Trauma experiences. It will Take everything really. It's so easy to never make significant progress. I have started with jungian shadow work and it's just beyond even comprehensible what it will really Take to change all my thaught patterns or to integrate your shadow how jcalls the process to bring your forgotten self into your present.
Thank you for being vulnerable and sharing such a personal thought. Maybe you don’t have to get all the trauma experiences out. work on what you can now, a step at a time. Maybe things can be good enough despite never fixing everything.
I definitely enjoyed hearing the coaches perspective, but I have to agree with some of the other comments, at times it felt more like an Ad. Doing the Ad in itself isn't bad but maybe have a dedicated part for it, and just purely respond to the reddit posts? rather than the responses itself feeling like an Ad.
TBH, I felt this stream wasn't as constructive as I was hoping. I was expecting more of a targeted discussion, such as Dr. K would do, of breaking down the Reddit post and providing the advice / opinions of the coaches as if the Reddit poster were in the room as to how to find purpose in life or whatever. This felt a bit more like an advertisement for the coaching services they can provide, more brushing on the way these coaches approach these type of issues and whatnot, rather than demonstrating the quality of coaching provided.
I mean, I haven’t really been keeping up with Dr. K but I feel like he’s growing to the point and seems to believe the best way to help the most people is through the coaching program. Like his videos are good and interesting but aren’t individualized.
@@cameronyeager7482 How can he offer individualized content while he broadcasts for a wide audience? The coaching program might not be perfect, but I pretty much owe to my coach a bunch of my progress in my personal life that would not have been possible if I only watched Dr K's videos.
@@cameronyeager7482 I didn't mean to imply the coaching program shouldn't be advertised or anything overtly negative about it or these coaches, nor to say that all this stream was is an advertisement for it. I am confident the coaching program is worthwhile for those who use it and have faith in the veracity of the research Dr. K and his team have done in tracking the impact of the coaching program. For the most part I agree that his videos aren't individualised, though in responding to individual posts he's still able to reach a lot of people, such as my expectations of this video being around finding purpose in life as the Reddit post was themed, while the post itself is an individual's struggles, these issues are common, and the approach to dealing with them, while everyone's situation and needs are different, the insight into understanding struggles around purpose or whatever can be relevant to more than just the original poster, even though the discussion is around this individual's case.
@@rejectionisprotection4448 Fair, but to expect individualized content from a content creator like Dr K is a bit idealistic. At the end, just watching video on RU-vid will cure your trauma. You have to find a coach or a therapist to help you out in the process.
The thing that people are struggling with is that the main purpose of life is procreation and contributing to your community. They don't inform us of this when we're younger and sometimes the prospect is so daunting that we avoid it. We are so scared of making bad choices that we avoid making the big ones. We focus on fun, career, education, society, and we ignore the reality which is that our lives are small, temporary and brief. Having dependents clarifies and focuses you. Dating and mating isn't supposed to be about having fun and living your best life. You're supposed to give something to your community and everything else to the next generation of your family.
You have upper hand over this people, the faster You get this feeling the quicker You can fix it and You may be on a steady journey to personal greatness at 25-27yo, good luck!
Didn't you mean "higher volume" ? YT lately implemented "Stable Volume" feature, it boosts volume when it's low. Maybe it's turned off on your device ? Look in YT video settings. I use headphones and never have issues with volume.
@@zaidaliahmed7869 Do you really want to go into nitpicking ? :) If you want to "crank [the volume] up", it means it's now too low. But first you ask, was this volume lower in the past. If you did not have this problem before, it means volume in the past was higher, not lower. Sounds like you contradict youself, or there is some kind of miscommunication... And yes, I have too much time on my hands :)
I just turned 28. I guess I do have a life and financial stability. The problem is I only really live for the weekends and every sunday I feel very down knowing there is soo long till next weekend. I know something needs to change but I dont know where to even start.
Wish I could a showed up to the live but didn't see notification or was working. Leaving a comment to show I'm interested before watching, show the algorithm and HGG that im into despite it not being a Dr K stream
Strange. I like hearing about their approaches to these problems as coaches and I can see a lot of explaining their process, concepts that they teach etc but I was expecting a bit more of digging into the issues presented rather than an explanation of what the coaching process might look like for x individual
Through careful consideration, introspection, and lived experience. I changed my values quite a lot over my life, but I’ve gotten them figured out enough that I don’t think they’re likely to change again. But you never know, that is why you must always be open to the possibility that you can be wrong, because we are flawed beings who can be totally wrong.
Deeply hurt. I am 28 and turning 29 end of Oktober. I have started but you really have to be compasionate yourself , forgove yourself and then Take all your strength to going Forward. You have to endure awful Feelings it's gonna happen, go Forward Go Forward and never letbyour deconstructive fthoughts stop you.
I turned 30 a couple of months ago. Ultimately, it's just profoundly dumb to think that "wasted" years in the past make it impossible for you to go anywhere in the future.
Every time my older brother makes fun of me and says things like "What the hell are you even doing with your life?!" or something like "What are you trying to prove?" it really makes me want to cry. I don't know what the hell I'm doing but do you even know what to do with your life too? At least I'm trying here and doing something, anything like damn it.....
Good to see arushi here in your panel after years. Will always remember the wonderful things she taught me ❤️ also ngl, always had a bit of a crush on her
Whaaat, only an hour and a half? Where is the two-hour broadcast? It's not enough for me. [In a good way. Everything was interesting, that's why it's short!]
What is the point of saying "this is not medical advice?" You're obviously giving advice, even if you don't call it that. Is it just some legal boilerplate that you have to say so that you don't get sued? Frankly I associate that phrase with scammers who say "this is not financial advice" while they tell you to put all your money into buy gamestop stock. Maybe just say "I'm not a doctor, but I'm doing the best I can, please don't sue me if something goes wrong."
hes not giving advice to your specific situation. he hears a short summary of a problem and talks about things people with a similar problem can do. there might be more to the thing AND hes not a doctor therefore if you take his "advice" the same as a doctors, what are you doing? are you not an adult?
@@La_sagne that seems like a strange definition of "advice" where it's more like an order that you *must* obey. As an adult, I know that all advice is just a recommendation, even if it's coming from a doctor. You don't need to say "this is not advice" to make people use their own judgement.
Medical advice requires a diagnosis of the symptoms. For that he has to ask you specifically what are your symptoms. He obviously can not do that without talking to you, so what he said can not be taken as medical advice. Best you can do is to take it as reference for you circumstances. Hope that help.
@@truongpham1997 Not at all. I'll give you some free medical advice right now. "eat healthy and exercise." wow! look at that. And I'm not even a doctor! What I can't do is give you a prescription, diagnosis, or referral. Because those are legally resticted. But "advice" is not restricted. I feel like a doctor should know the differance.
Ok, so for the issue of lack of purpose they are absolutely useless! To be fair though, there is no purpose, so it's not like they could do anything. But they clearly don't have an answer for the problem that fact presents.
What a useless deconstructive thought. When you have No purpose either find one or give up. It's pretty easy. Giving up is the easiest thing imaginable.
