Yeah her ceo theme is horrible she had a much better theme in wwe when she was sasha banks and her promos suck . She looks really good .and thats about it. And i am a fan of hers but i got to keep it real aew dont know what to do with mercedes.

I think unfortunately WWE just knew how to better promote her and utilize her talents. Unfortunately, AEW has no plan other than her being there and it has emphasized per flaws which as I see it are 1. Not a great talker. 2. Over concerned with her image, and not having matches. 3. doing the same character over and over. 4. And this one is more of a theory, but I think the reason she isn’t wrestling is because while she is very good in the ring, she tends to take bumps that she’s not built to withstand. Hence she gets injured like in WWE and new Japan, and I think AEW is scared she’s gonna have her first match and get hurt, so they’re trying to delay.

Tony Kahn is the anti Heyman in that he seems to bring out the worst in his wrestlers from a creative and booking standpoint. I felt like Sasha was better on the mic in WWE, like she was slightly above average with their presentation and a clear heel role and now she's slightly below average in AEW where "face and heel doesn't matter" and she has no creative direction

What's the problem: EVERYTHING. A BUILD-up-NOTHING! A complete waste so far.

I’ve always said her speaking and promos were horrible and I think it was just over looked by her matches but she’s not having any so it’s bad

They should have had Mercedes debut at a PPV and interfere in a match or something. Or have her debut and immediately get physical with someone. Now they've blown her debut. They will probably rush her into a poorly-done feud with Dr. Britt Baker next, which is the kind of thing that would be awesome with the right build up, but disastrous if not done properly.

seamless and smooth are not words id associate with her.. Sloppy and daring are more appropriate. She's got the look and clearly loves wrestling but she totally lost without the WWE machine.

Holy shit, AEW is making the same mistake Mandalorian did- have her talk instead of showing her in action. Only had a few lines, but it was embarrassingly bad, but you could see this chick didn't need a stunt double, but sadly we never saw her kicking ass.

Mercedes/Sasha sucks, and has always sucked, and basically got lumped in with other more talented women because she happened to come up at the same time as them in WWE during at time when they (and fans) were trying desperately to change the perception/presentation of female wrestling, and thus criticism of any female talent was implicitly forbidden.

Mone is all about Sasha Banks, both are a bore!

Because I think she's INJURED dood. She suffered what should have been a career-ending injury back in NJPW but pressed hard to come back. I don't think she was even cleared when she 1st signed with AEW. I suspect Khan just didn't want her to sign with WWE before Mania, and he's desperate for gravitas ... for whatever reason, he LOVES collecting WWE's broken toys. Don't expect her to come back to form any time soon if at all, rather, expect her to be a glorified mouthpiece like Saraya from this point forward.

Tony Khan is a kid with money but no direction. AEW could seriously be a power house if he actually knew what he was doing.

She actually always has been pretty awful, she was decent at the most when she was at her relative highest, and the WWE made the most out of her during her tenure there, she has an interesting look, but tha is about it. She barely has any physical strength, lack of necessary bodily tension, she requires assistance by her opponents to properly execute most moves and her timing in the ring is mostly terrible too, and this whole „boss/swag“ thing is cringe. And look at her run in japan, everything there was totally forgettable and irrelevant. She took the opportunity to take home of what I am sure will be a good amount of Khan money, and who could possibly blame her for that, but if anyone actually expects anything noteworthy to come out of her in aew, then they are in for a major let down I’m sure.

Always big Sasha Banks fan, thought wwe could have gotten alot more from her if didnt always shove Charlotte ahead of her. So far, not a Mercedes Mone fan in aew. She has never been the best actress but seems very cringe to watch now, almost feel she gets no direction or coaching as opposed to in wwe. If you watch any clips/interviews where being herself comes off likeable, well spoken, sweet, etc. Everytime shes starts "acting", it is just hard to watch now. Her cadence of talking is very fake and voice is grating. Again, I was a huge Sasha fan and didnt want her to land in aew over wwe. I think this , so far, is exposing Mercedes when not produced, and aew not actually producing anyone as well as Tonys lack of storytelling. He wants matches, and does lazy build up and anticipation to see a match. As you pointed out, story is we fought in japan, that appeals to hardcore audience only. You could add more compelling layers ot that simple story but its clunky and bad acting instead. Once she wrestles may change things, cause felt she was a superior performer to Charlotte and Becky, so lets wait and hope this wasnt a major mistake career wise for her.
