No 😅. As much as I love the remake version on the DS for gen 2, gen 1 & 4 for the switch ruined that for me and makes me more skeptical of any mainline Pokémon games now 😔.

no. Johto is done. It had HGSS which was a mess. I don't want to see another poor remake like that again. And i hate Legends style game so pass on that

Took the words out of my mouth, Gen 1-4 were the best versions of the franchise. With gold and silver being my favorite . You could have the Pokemon from the 1st game . And still revisit the previous region that you fought in the previous game. As a kid that made me so excited!!. The continuity was sick and the fact it ended with you beating the previous protagonist. To this day no game in the franchise had a greater story in my opinion

Okay, I gotta be honest here: I love GSC, I was such a Pokémon nerd as a kid that I played Gold Version on a badly-translated ROM before it even released stateside. Between my insane luck on receiving a shiny gift Eevee from Bill that evolved into an Umbreon, Karen's loss quote, and the lack of a Dark-type gym leader in either region, that game was literally the reason I do mono-Dark to this day, a full 7 generations later. But the best story in the series? The overall story in the first two generations were absolutely bare-bones compared to later generations. There just wasn't a whole lot to it.

don't forget they still neutered kanto despite already having fire red and leaf green. its definitely not out of the question for a shitty johto remake

Outdated, inherited the issues from GS such as level curve, gen two pokemon locked behind post game, bad gym leader teams, etc. And has Rock Climb HM that can't be used until we defeat Blue. Also slowness issue that all gen four games had

@@TKDPandaa even though HGSS improved in some areas over the originals, it still inherited other issues from them. Not to mention that it is a gen four game and gen four games are notorious for running badly. So even with the edge over the original Johto games, HGSS is still bad in terms of said issues i mentioned and that is outdated compared to the games that came after it.

i prefer remakes to be like BDSP imo. Other remakes strayed a bit too far from the originals. Especially ORAS as it had the most changes.

Yeah and I’m assuming that it would be because of the glitches that gamefreak still hadn’t patched on it due to the lack of developers right now in gamefreak

@TKDPandaa I started with red. Fire Red, Soul silver, Omega Ruby, legends and scarlet are the best games. I hope the do it justice because I didn't like BDSP. Didn't like the let's go games. I play GO still sometimes.

No it wasn't. BDSP is a pretty good remake since it stayed true to the original games. HGSS is arguably the worse since it inherited issues from GSC and from gen four with the slowness issues.

@@TKDPandaa Silly me who mostly used the Pokémon anime to connect the dots with Pokémon designs in terms of personality traits would actually find it fun to see a game particularly based on the anime characters. We somewhat have that with how mobile games like "Pokémon Masters EX" but that happens to be a 'stupid' gacha type game of course. I also enjoyed the story-driven nature of the first bunch of "Pokémon Mystery Dungeon" games and how SpikeChunsoft gave players the chance to connect more with their personal and other Pokémon. If a future Pokémon game would give me more of that wonder that you kinda felt like the Pokémon world in the series and movies being like, give us more time with all the characters (I genuinely feel like the story aspect and characters get simply not enough time to shine in the mainlien games often enough) and possibly more ways to interact and personalise the entire experience for ourselves, then we'd have a great Pokémon game again. I do enjoy a fun presentation of course, so it doesn't have to be all about big and vast worlds. Even if it's condensed of an adventure or just like the "PokéPark" games somewhat of a playful thing with Pokémon, I can see myself enjoying that. Heck, a "Mario Party" (not an "Animal Crossing: amiibo Festival") with Pokémon I'd take any day if it's put enough well and doesn't just focus on Kanto Pokémon solely again (like they sadly tend to do). Even another "Pokémon Channel" I could see as a fun experience if done okay. But yeah, Pokémon comes up with so many neat ideas but they rarely dedicate to them long enough, it feels like. Pokémon competitions: a gimmick. Pokéathlon: a minigame collection. When we have those ideas, they either get only a little experimental focus or people do genuinely botch them with how rushed they come out within current releases (hello, "Legends Arceus" repetitive gameplay loop with statue NPCs, ugly texture gallore, etc.). But as said, if I get the time, I probably read myself into some romhacks and rather see what folks have added to enrich the already fun HG/SS experience. I happily go on that adventure with my fav Poképal Totodile again who keeps following behind and amuses me with those cute little animations when I interact with him. ^_^

there is no reason for Game Freak to do another Lets Go. LGPE did its job by getting Go players into the main series. That was the main reason why they did LGPE. That and they wanted Kanto on the Switch

i argue they are the worst remakes. Didn't fix issues from Gold and Silver like level curve, gym leader teams, johto pokemon locked behind Kanto, Rock Climb added but can't be used until all sixteen badges are gotten etc. Not to mention the slowness of gen four games inherited.

@@JamieAlexander18 look I ain't gonna argue with you again on the same subject, you're entitled to your opinion and im entitled to my own opinion. You can disagree with me but you can't argue with me to change my mind about an opinion on a game. And btw the leveling issues was a thing until gen 5 so obviously if they remake a game in gen 4 still, that issue will still remain, wasn't until gen 6 when they introduced the exp share all key item that then leveling up became less of a need to grind. So obviously if they remastered it, the leveling issue would now be gone just like in bdsp.

@@jamesmatt8397they didn't remaster any game. Try again. BDSP remains the best remake of the franchise and I stand by that. Fans defending the mess of HGSS is something I will never understand
