The PROBLEM with Sasuke Uchiha 

Literally half of the ninja world hates him and he is no longer part of Konoha. Those were the repercussions, plus he spent 15 years atoning for his sins, cleaning up the underworld and searching for information about aliens. That's what they say in the novels and in Boruto.

Not everyone was ok, thats why he went on his redemption journey. He was fixing his image throughout the whole world. That quite literally what happens in Sasuke Shinden

The sole reason why sasuke wants to destroy the leaf, is because of 2 basic reasons that you will think of, if you use your brain for 5 seconds. 1 : the exploition of itachi, imagine this, you live a lie of trying to avenge your clan by murdering your evil brother, only to realize your own country has manipulated him and forced him to do a genocide on the whole clan. (The cou of the uchiha only happens because the uchiha became tired of the favoritism for the senju) 2 : the shinobi system, young people go to war because of conflict because of selfish hokages not caring for their own village, and the people suffering and dying just for the profit, heck the first arc of naruto part 1 literally explains that. You just need to analyze. Welp that's all.

oh, he vowed revenge against the village who killed his clan, my God what reason could he have to destroy the village.

Sasuke does face social repercussions. The village people and the shinobi world haven't forgotten what he's done. In Boruto chapter 61: "Madness," two Leaf shinobi inspect one of Code's teleportation markings. One of the shinobi says to Sasuke when he approaches the marking: "Hey Uchiha, what're you doing?! Get back here!" He then says Sasuke's opinion about Code likely not appearing from that specific marking is "irrelevant," and even asks Sasuke if he's "deaf" when Sasuke ignores his warning about staying away from the marking. Sasuke tells him to freely ignore his insight, stating, "I have no authority here." The other shinobi remarks how "cool" Sasuke is. This interaction shows that Sasuke, one of the strongest, if not the strongest, shinobi in the world, isn't wholly respected among all leaf shinobi and doesn't fall within the leadership structure despite his power. In all honesty, despite joining some of the most infamous criminal organizations in the Naruto world, most of Sasuke's heinous crimes occurred during and after his invasion of the Five Kage Summit. He murdered several samurai at the summit, which is objectively wrong with zero justification. The invasion itself was a terrorist attack. He killed Danzo... but... come on lol. He stabbed Karin: cruel, but not criminal. Lastly, he tries to kill Naruto and reshape the world to his desire; their fight is overdue, and he gives up on his vision to help Naruto. It may seem like he "got off," but you should remember that the Naruto world is a universe with a long war history, and about every character we like is a war criminal. There's bad blood between everyone. Heck, when Granny Chiyo saw Kakashi and mistakes him for his father, she almost offed him on sight because the White Fang killed her son. Again, the Leaf and the Sand made up in the same season of Naruto the Sand led an invasion on the Leaf that resulted in mass casualties, destruction, and the death of the Third Hokage. No one in Naruto gets held accountable. If they had, Hiruzen would have handled Danzo so Sasuke wouldn't have to, and the Leaf Elders would have faced justice, too. Ultimately, Sasuke helped save the world, and there would be no world if he hadn't assisted in the war effort. Now, if you wanna talk about someone getting away with stuff, do a video on Orochimaru. I bet Orochimaru is shocked he's free. Someone please reply. I wanna nerd out about Naruto 😭

Yeah, I'm gonna disagree with quite a lot that's said in this vid. I think it's pretty clear based off of his fights with Deidara and Itachi later on in the series that if Sasuke truly was serious about wanting to kill Team 7, he could've easily done so at anytime during their encounter. With that in mind, it becomes pretty clear that Sasuke was clearly putting on a show in order to convince everyone present of what he WANTS them to think: that he's cut off all of his bonds for power when, you look at a lot of his actions, clearly isn't true. It's even hinted that he mainly wants the others to leave him alone, which is shown when he admonishes Naruto for putting his dream of becoming Hokage on hold in order to chase after Sasuke when he could've been training and claims that he spared Naruto's life on a whim when the very ending of their VoTE fight has Sasuke choosing to spare Naruto both out of their friendship and not wanting to become like Itachi in his pursuit of power. Orochimaru having a tight hold on him also isn't entirely accurate when Orochimaru himself admonishes Sasuke for being too soft and not going for lethal blows in his encounters with various ninja and is shown even more explicitly when Orochimaru failing to possess Sasuke due to his hold not being as strong as he thought it was. Hell, Sasuke was DISGUSTED with Orochimaru's actions of using others as tools for the sake of more power in his verbal takedown of the guy before trying to kill him. Combine this with how he's actually accommodating towards Hebi's desires, freeing the prisoners of Orochimaru's compounds, his fond, subtle smile at seeing the Great Naruto Bridge in the Land of Waves and it becomes pretty clear that even after all of this time, Sasuke still has his morals in check and is mostly acting in an anti-hero fashion. It isn't until he finds out the truth of Itachi and the government setting up his family for a massacre that h actually (understandably, really) loses his grip and even then he calms down when the three-hit combo of Naruto, resurrected Itachi, and the resurrected Kage actually speak to him.

In defense of sasuke the village screwed him and his clan and tried to cover it up

My boy Hiruzen was doing paintings while Naruto was on the streets doin' god knows what. Besides that one time he ate some grilled fish with Naruto as a kid was really about it. Hiruzen knew that Naruto was struggling in school with chakra control and never thought of finding a solution like training Naruto intoba tai jutsu master or foing what Jariya did. I'm saying the relationship he had with Minato did not transfer over to his only living descendant at all. However, that didn't transfer at all. He could have made Naruto an honorary Sarutobi and really gave him a family bit instead. brody just grew up alone.

Bro really forgot that everyone didn't forgive Sasuke such as the raikage in Sasuke sunrise shikamaru the rest of the 11 minis Naruto kakashi and Sakura and there are many more that has not forgave him taking the war helping the village in the last and ofc killing otsukis in boruto

You clearly don't understand. Sasuke is the product of the ninja world's and ESPECIALLY Konoha's hypocrisy and arrogance towards its own bloody history. Hagoromo wanted to use the power his mother created when she ate the chakra fruit and that he inherited when he sealed her away as a way to "unite people." Well, that's all well and good, but humans are EASILY corrupted, and Hagoromo blamed Indra for discovering how to weaponize chakra (even though he did it before to beat his mother in their fight.) So, after generations of fighting among the clans of Indra and Asura, their descendants Madara and Hashirama decide to band together to create Konoha to AT LEAST keep children from fighting in war, which worked for a while, but Tobirama ruined everything by spreading rumors about the Uchiha making them untrusted in the village they helped create. This made it so Madara couldn't become Hokage when Hashirama wanted to retire, so he gave up on his dream, realizing it was a poison pill from the start. Having his dream ripped away by the same man who killed the last brother he had drove Madara mad and he attacked Konoha with Kurama, which made Hashirama kill him to protect Konoha. Konoha was founded on a faulty code; the Will of Fire, which states you must put the village's needs ABOVE you own familty's... which is pretty hypocritical, since Tobirama was the one who caused the issue of spreading rumors about the Uchiha to keep Madara from being Hokage, and Hashirama protected Tobirama by doing nothing once he learned about these rumors. Tobirama then went on to make the Uchiha the military police in order to keep them from gaining any futher political power in Konoha. We know this was aimed solely to keep the Uchiha out of power since Tobirama didn't create ANY OTHER POSITIONS FOR ANY OTHER CLAN. Fast forward 80 years and Tobirama's students accuse the Uchiha of betraying Konoha WITHOUT EVIDENCE AND ONLY HEARSAY and proceed to pass sentence by placing their compound at the edge of the village and take away their authority as the police force, giving that power mostly to the ANBU Black Ops. After 8 years, the Uchiha FINALLY have had enough and decided to coup NON-VIOLENTLY against the village that has betrayed them for the THOUSANDTH TIME by only killing Danzo and the elders. But, Danzo anticipated this (because he's the one who CAUSED the whole situation, plus he's Hiruzen's crony even though he tried to KILL HIM multiple times, but hey details) and brainwashes the clan heir Itachi into killing his clan. Itachi for some stupid reason tells Danzo he'll kill everyone but his little brother (even though there were OTHER innocent kids, but Itachi couldn't be bothered to think of THEM TOO.) Itachi waits for his little brother and traumatizes him for life, telling him to desire ONLY REVENGE and to kill his best friend if he wants justice. After 5 years, Sasuke meets back up with Itachi who beats him nearly to death and puts him in a coma for 5 weeks by putting him in a 24 hour illusion that shows him his family dying again for 24 hours. Sasuke realizes that the village is actively holding him back from his revenge, and goes to the one man who promised him more power. After his brother dies, Sasuke LEARNS ALL OF THIS HISTORY, and we're supposed to believe that HE'S THE ONE BEING UNREASONABLE FOR GETTING MAD. I swear, Sasuke haters are a new level of stupid. Either that or they are ok with slavery and child soldiers, and if that's the case, they shouldn't be allowed to vote, have kids, or own weapons sharper than a butter knife.

Highly disgree with these points you obviously haven't paid attention sure Sasuke did bad things but aside from fighting the 5 Kages killing some Samurai and ending Danzo and his last fight with Naruto he did do some time but that doesn't mean much when the very system failed the 1st Hokage is meant to make it so kids wouldn't go onto the battle filed but a Ninja Academy that let children as young as 12 to became a shonibi and the fact that there's a Forest of Death where children can die and how everything wrong with the whole system and even in Boruto Naruto as Hokage never brought peace to the Hidden Rain like he promised Nagato

If you actually watched the ending parts of naruto he literally goes on a self discovery and atonement arc after being arrested for all the crashing out he did. They sealed his eye and jailed him and he didn't fight back after that he literally does what you described in the second part. I feel like you stopped watching after they fought and went on to boruto cuz it's right in your face.

In the boruto manga its pretty clearly shown that apart from those close to him, the leaf ninja dont respect him

Sasuke *was* arrested post war

When Kylo Ren died at the end of the trilogy, the criticism was that's a cop out. He had the easy way out and didn't have to atone for his sins. Similar criticisms would've been given if Sasuke died in the end. His ending was much better. Imprisoned for a time being, pardoned for being 1 of the 2 saviors of the world, and then went on a journey of self discovery, atonement, and protecting the Leaf from the shadows. Not everyone was on board with him being forgiven for sure. But he's still one of the 2 who saved the world and Naruto's whole philosophy is ending cycles of hate. "How come we don't see this in the show?" Because it's not his story. It's Naruto's. You don't need Boruto to know that this was his ending though. You'll see this ending explained or implied in the epilogue, in the movie the Last, and in the short manga series Naruto: Gaiden. For a person who's driven by hate and destruction all his life, being a protector of peace from the shadows searching for atonement is a great ending. Also: Naruto's ass whooping is NOT the first step to Sasuke's redemption. It's the last push. His road to redemption started when he got his closure from Itachi and got the real meaning of shinobi from Hashirama.

I keep saying it that a lot of this problem would have been solved if kakashi and other jounins were like "Alright Sasuke, we'll help you get revenge. We want to smoke itachi as well and you're our best bet as an Uchiha to help us achieve that goal". It's not as if they knew itachi was a good guy. Heck, they did the same for shikamaru against hidan. Also Sasuke dying is not an acceptable option cause I'm sure we all want the Uchiha clan to be revived. It's honestly frustrating to see someone who yaps so much about his clan, not even have at least 3 kids. He could have 12 and I'm sure everyone would give him a pass.

It make sense why they would pardon Sasuke tho, he did help save the world. Imagine breaking the law and being on the run, but somehow you end up single handily saving your country, I mean I realize it’s unrealistic but you will probably earn yourself a pardon 😂

honestly i don't think his character is flawed he only killed itachi because he didn't know the village was the one who put him up to it and natrually it makes sense that his anger would turn to the village after finding that out. Meanwhile naruto never came up with a true plan or idea of how to create piece while even though not everyone agreed with sasuke plan for peace it was a plan none the less.

It was crazy to me that the fourth Raikage lost an arm fighting him and he killed a lot of innocent Samurai in battle and nobody said nothing.

That ending idea sounds great actually .sasuke dying for that ending definitely sounds like a good trade off

Fact of the matter is not everyone did forgive Sasuke. It took all of Kakashi’s favors plus Naruto, the hero of the alliance to get Sasuke out of jail. Even by the Boruto age, there are some that don’t trust Sasuke.

Yea I never really clicked with the idea of Naruto fighting so hard to bring sasuke back like at some point I was thinking he was gonna finally quit trying and beat him up cuz he tried killing Sakura and kakashi.

I mostly agree with this video, but there is another option for his redemption arc. What if he permenantly lost his sharingan, and never got it back? Losing the one thing that made him Uchiha in the first place, and the source of his power could be a character defining moment for him.

Sasuke definitely should have died. Maybe some self sacrifice thing like Darth Vader at the end of ROTJ. I dunno.

i agree with alot of points that you made! even though sasuke's actions in the beginning are understandable, it feels strange that, as you said, hes still being seen as the victim (in the audience pov) well into his pyschopath phase in shippuden. i also understand that hes going on an atonement journey in boruto/end of shippuden, but everyone sweeping everything he did under the rug (in konoha) definitely feels wrong, like why wouldnt they tell his daughter the things he did? to protect her? i dont really get that. i understand sasuke's character, and appreciate his writing, but that doesnt make him likeable in my eyes or feel hes earned anything, especially forgiveness. but i guess thats just one of the perks having one of the most powerful shinobi in the world call you his friend, and that also happens to be the ninja president :P great the video though! enjoyed it

He's a war criminal and a terrorist who should have been executed, but because the main protagonist likes him for no reason, he gets a redemption arc he never earned. This is why he's the worst.
